Life certainly hasn't been going smoothly for Kame, but he's always felt he can change the situation. Getting sick didn't put much of a damper on him but the break-up he went through with his boyfriend whom he was very much in love with did. Having to deal with the repercussions that dropping out of school dealt on him, Kame returned to Japan to try and straighten things out with his family and due to that, had to break things off with his boyfriend after a year of togetherness (that he mostly spent sick).

Kame's determined to graduate now and has returned to LA to decide what degree he really wants to take up and get his former life back on track. He hopes that this time, things will be different for him.
