23-year-old Tsubasa was born and raised in Japan. It was here that he grew up, developing an early love for dance, much to his father's dismay. Tsubasa's mother intervened on his behalf, convincing his father to allow him ballet lessons. While it earned him much teasing in school, he bore it without complaint because of his love for it.
When Tsubasa was 14, his parents were killed in a robbery attempt. The gunman was caught and prosecuted, but this would, of course, not bring Tsubasa's parents back, and he became a ward of the system. Overlooked as being "too old" by prospective parents, Tsubasa was never adopted out, instead spending his remaining school years at the orphanage.
This might have hampered his study of dance if it were not for his instructor seeing his potential and voluntarily letting him continue his lessons free of tuition when the orphanage refused to pay for it. In addition to continuing ballet, Tsubasa also began attending classes in other styles of dance at the nearby community center. Impressed by his dedication and determination, unbeknown to Tsubasa his ballet teacher submitted his name for a scholarship to UCLA's School of Performing Arts.
Upon his graduation, Tsubasa received the modest inheritance and insurance money his parents had left for him which had been held in trust for him until he was an adult. Taking this money, he moved to Los Angeles, buying a small one-bedroom apartment just off-campus and a dependable second-hand car. Determined to make the most of his scholarship, Tsubasa took on the challenge of dual majors in Dance and Theater, with a minor in Literature.
Since graduating UCLA, he works as a bartender at a nearby club for the time being to support himself, a job he had begun during his college days.Occasionally, to earn extra money, he will audition for extra roles in movies or television shows, though he hasn't had any major roles. On his off-days, and even often on the days he works, he can be found volunteering at the local community center, teaching dance classes to kids who otherwise wouldn't be able to take them, just as he was once taught, though he hopes to one day soon get an audition for the Anaheim Ballet, even if only in the dance troupe. He also takes part in many of the community center's theater productions, as well as auditions for parts when local theaters have open auditions.
