26 year old Amita Marie Young, better known to friends and family as Tata, spent the first five years of her life in Thailand before her father, an American there on a teacher exchange program, moved them back to his hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia.

After graduating high school not only with honors, but as class valedictorian, Tata went on to major in dance at The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg. It was there that she met young music prodigy Leehom Wang. Although there was no attraction between the two (and nevermind that Leehom was in a relationship at the time), like minds tend to be drawn together, and the two fast became great friends.

After Leehom graduated, the two remained in contact regularly, and upon her graduation, Tata received an email from him asking her to join him in Taiwan as part of his dance troupe for his tours.

For the next two and a half years, life on the road became the norm for Tata, studying with Leehom and others in the dance troupe to add a workable grasp on both Chinese and Japanese to her English and Thai. Until the Fall of 2006, when Leehom had announced to them all that he was giving up the performing side of things and moving to New York City to be nearer to his family.

Which worked out to be a blessing in disguise for Tata. The tabloids had already been spreading rumors that she and Leehom were more than just friends, and it was at around the same time that he made his announcement that she found out that she was pregnant. Dumped by her boyfriend when she told him, she gathered together the sizable amount of money she'd saved up over the past two years, and relocated to Los Angeles, thereby escaping the media attention that would have surely followed if they had gotten wind of her pregnancy. When her parents found out, they immediately moved to LA to be near her and help her out.

Tata's days are now spent at UCLA, where she is working towards a degree in photography.
