Everyone, say hello to John! He's Cable and Domino's son from a war-torn future that only big guns, multiple pouches and gritted teeth could contain! Some of you might know him from Wes and Ryan's timeline, were he made a brief appearance to drink all their beer and watch all their reality TV.
He's from Earth-4935, a timeline I didn't know had a number; the quickest explanation is that he's from Cable's continued future: Apocalypse was defeated and set to rebirth again, Stryfe is Cable's angry clone leading an angry army and Cable leads the Askani, a religious order created by Rachel Summers in order to defeat Apocalypse. Is it confusing? Yes. Does his family tree make no sense? Yes. Is he bringing a small arsenal and the techno-organic virus into the game? Yes.
