out of purgatory: ooc

Logging/journal posting has officially ended. You have until the 10th to post or placeholder epilogues for your characters.

So I figure in the midst of everything that is the AFTERMATH of a GIANT WAR, it'd help for player reference to know the state of everyone's characters.

I'll start off with mine:

Nathan Boot is at St. Mungo's being treated for Acromantula venom, cuts, bruises, and a broken left arm infected by the venom as it went into his blood stream. He got treated as much as he could by some of the "makeshift" Healers at Hogwarts, drinking something to neutralize it. Currently he's going through a "cleansing" process at St. Mungo's. He has the shakes, having trouble breathing, seeing, eating, but luckily since he was treated pretty quickly he will live once it's all out of his system. He's on the first floor of St. Mungo's, and can accept visitors.

Lisa Turpin is not so well-off. Her left shoulder has been pierced through by a dragon talon, her right wand arm completely blasted off. She lost a lot of blood and is currently in critical care on the 4th floor of St. Mungo's. She is awake but very weak and can accept visitors, although she will be mainly sleeping the whole time. They are currently trying to figure out a way to give her a "fake magical" arm Peter Pettigrew-esque to replace the one she lost. She has not fully accepted/come to realize she is armless. She's still completely drugged on pain potions.

Geoffrey Hooper is in critical condition. He has gashes along his left side, as well as a rather terrible boil on his forehead and eye. He suffered from a terrible Conjuncitivis Curse, but the WORST is a burning curse that basically charred his neck and face to massive 3rd and 4th degree burns. Broken ribs. Broken leg. He hasn't woken up after being knocked unconscious with a critical head injury as well. He is currently on the third floor, not accepting visitors.

Well, my terrible timing continues as I'm heading out and won't have internet access again until Tuesday or so. Oh well, it's not like I'm going to miss anything too important over the next few days >_<

I'm back around and fairly open to logging-- back from the beach, power is back (for now-- good GRIEF). If you need me just ping or email, because I'm probably around. :)

Work's going to keep me busy until next Saturday, more than likely, so I won't be around as much (though I will be around some). Apologies for slow responses for those of you that I'm in battle logs with!

My computer is effed. :(

Dell says I have to wipe it and start over, so I may be slow and/or unavailable. SORRY!

So...I am at the beach for a week, and I was under the impression that I would still have internets and be able to log and stuff. But the internet here is unbelievably slow and it hates the log doc. So. I'll be around next weekend? And if you need me/Lavender drop me an email at missonichick@gmail.com because maybe my phone will let me answer the email on it or something.

After enduring two 15-hour days of waiting for the Comcast gods to look favorably on me, I'm back online. Just in time for bed...

I'll catch up with everything tomorrow. That includes the twelve million battle logs updates I received yesterday and today.

Sorry for my enforced absence everyone. I had the flu for a few days and was therefore housebound (and noooooes internet). I'll be on campus for the next few hours, so if anyone wants to start early, I'm up for it.

Well hello there! It's Alison. I know we're all busy with battle log planning, but this here boy has joined us for the last month, like the coward he is. Say hi to Evan Vaisey, known to many girls as 'that creepy guy,' who will abuse his IS powers, leer at women, and be generally ick. He's a Slytherin 5th. More about him here. Friends, enemies, girls to leer at (okay, he doesn't actually require *volunteers* for that) etc...? Regardless, friend him.

7th and 5th year Dark Arts class is used to perform "detentions". More students are brought forward for detention, and volunteers practice Crucio against them.

In 7th year - Detentionees: Seamus Finnigan, Wayne Hopkins; Hexers: Vincent Crabbe & Gregory Goyle.

In 5th year - Detenionee: Yue Sung; Hexer: Penelope Turpin. (Also added: Detentionee: Emily Hopkins; Hexer: William Pucey)

As a timeline, 7th year Dark Arts happens right after lunch and 5th year Dark Arts is the period following that. Emily and Yue both have a free period then so they are not missing classes.

As Julian's parents are helping Muggleborns flee the country, Julian's mother Maia escaped from an altercation with some Snatchers without being identified but was badly injured and unable to treat herself. Julian therefore stayed with her and (with her guidance) treated her from her wounds. After she has recovered sufficiently, he will go to the Ministry and turn himself in. The official story that the Lovegoods-Stebbins will give out is that Julian was too ill to be returned to school with the other students, so they kept him at home.

HI GUYS! I'm hiatusing from the 27th to the 2nd because I'll be in Washington D.C.! I might check in with my phone but most likely, I'll be stalking Joe Biden!

HELLO!

This is Megtoo with my third (and final!) character, Devon. Devon is sort of an angry young man. He's a halfblood Ravenclaw I.S. member. He doesn't abuse the I.S. privileges, he insists; rather, he uses them exactly the way the Carrows intended them to be used.

Mostly, he just enjoys feeling powerful and respected (slash feared, which is pretty much the same thing in Devon's mind) and will assert his authority as necessary.

Or when he's feeling particularly creative in his hexes. He's very creative.

ETA: In a nutshell, Devon is from a solidly half-blood family but, a few years ago, found out his mum had an affair and his biological dad is actually a Muggle. Oops. He's pretty distanced from his whole family as a result, though he's stuck living with them. He also really, really hates Muggles now as he pretty much blames his bio-dad for screwing up his entire life, even though he's never actually met him.

Also, if anybody in his past wanted to give him a hard time about his heritage -- he doesn't try to hide it -- I'd be all for it. He'd lash out as a response but he's already pretty angry as it is.

Hey everyone. New girl Maria here just signed up to play Melinda Bobbin, 6th year Slytherin, Slug Club member, and a bit of a conservative priss. ;) She's a Potions nerd, with Ravenclaw tendancies. She briefly dated Emrys, but they both realized how absurd it was and remained friends. She's a supporter of Voldemort, as her parents are, though her dad's not a marked Death Eater.  She can be friendly enough, but she will sic her cat Hugo on you if you try to steal her sweets. She's a sucker for blood pops and chocolate pudding.  She'd love to get an invite to be an IS member eventually.
