"C'mon The danger is dead. You think it had groupies or family?" Buffy asked with a quirked head tilt. "Getting that this hidden is going to be a bitch," she did agree with Sam on that. "Usually we bury them. And by 'we' I mean that I stand around with a cherry slushie and practice French verbs with Willow while Giles and Xander dig the grave. Or Angel when he - Well, everyone helps," she quickly finished with a slight flush around her cheeks.
She didn't want to think about Angel, let alone talk about him. How do you explain to fiercely loyal hunters like Sam and Bobby that little miss Slaygal had dated a vampire known for being evil for over 300 years. He was less of an issue now that Buffy had put him in hell. You can't get good long distance calls down there.
She half-danced over to the window, peering out from behind dirty curtains that were partly drawn. There were some dim lights in the parking lot, and loud florescent lights illuminated the small building where they'd checked in first. There were dull shadows in there - one was probably that creepazoid pervert. The other shadows were probably file cabinets and the like. A blue light flickered, which meant the creep was watching TV. Probably distracted - which was good.
"In a shifty place like this, darkness doesn't mean no one is watching. We have to bury this thing. I don't suppose you know what kind of demon it was, huh? I need to add it to my resume," Buffy joked.
Holding the towel together with one hand, she sat down on her bed and pulled on some socks. Changing in the bathroom with the dead demon was just too weird to do. Plus she didn't want blue blood on her clothes. Pulling her duffel-like bag towards her, she wondered how to go about this. Sam was a gentleman though, not making any crude comments. He seemed interested in looking at the demon body. Clearing her throat, that got Sam's attention and his eyes on her. She clutched the towel tighter. "Hi, sorry. I just wanted to let you know that I'm gonna change out of the uh, nothingness I have on now. Unless terry cloth is a fashion statement you think I should consider," she said with a light laugh.
"But if you could just turn, I'll be fast." An awkward smile followed. "I know you want us to leave quickly, but I don't go anywhere without clothes on."
