Buffy was a light sleeper, but she'd still managed to sleep comfortably for several hours. But she seemed to have sensed when there was movement and voices going on. Waking up, she had to remind herself of where she was and what she was doing there. Registering the murmur of voices, she realized everyone was downstairs. She scrunched her nose and stretched her arms up before getting out of bed. Then she walked down the stairs (after peeking in Sam's room to see that the bed was unoccupied).
Downstairs she saw three figures, two of which she recognized. "Hi," she said with a sleepy-tinged voice, announcing her presence. Although she was pretty sure that, with Sam and Bobby being hunters, they had heard her from the moment she'd put a foot on the floor upstairs.
"It's early," she said. Master of the obvious. She felt awkward, but when she looked at Sam from across the room she felt the rush of happy feelings she'd felt last night. His hair was messy and it caused her eyes to light up a bit, nodding a 'hey' to him. She hoped she wasn't obvious about her little crush.
