"Then I guess I'm helping you," Buffy replied to Sam. "Okay, I've got some friends...I can call, ask them to look into things..." Who did they think her friends were? Well, might as well admit it. "Most of them have classes." Okay, she wasn't gonna specify high school classes. They were seniors, anyway. "But they're more helpful on the bookfront." Aside from Xander, who was great with getting the jelly donuts saved for Buffy. She wished he could come provide some comedy, donuts, and do some of that crucial life-saving he managed to throw in on the side. He was getting better every year.
Willow was getting better with the Wiccan stuff. Cordelia was being less of a bitch. Oz with his van, Giles and his books...man, she wished she could have them all here. She hadn't even wanted to tell them where she was. But she had to, obviously. Or at least, ask for help. No need to have them rushing here. She prayed that they would be level-headed, forget that Buffy had done a bit of lying, and want to help.
"I'll make some calls." But not in front of them. She gave a smile and excused herself. Once outside, she pulled out her cell and called Giles. Willow would have been her first choice, but Willow didn't like to answer her cell in class. Teachers kind of frowned on that.
Once Giles was brief, calmed down, and told all of the info, Buffy came back inside. "I guess now we wait for the phone to ring with info?" A pause. "Do you have...snacks?"
