She thought Bobby was the one who would respect her, what she was. But he seemed eager to take her off her high horse. And could it be true? Different sorts of demons?
"The hellmouth isa portal to Hell," she began. "Or rather, the mouth of hell, Boca...something." Boca burgers? No. Gah. Why wasn't Giles here to explain all of this stuff? Oh right, cause she'd lied and skipped town. Was that really a smart plan? Dammit.
Sam was the one who started explaining about Lilith. He seemed like Willow - way too young to know so much. Of course, he was older, and he was older. And Willow knew less about demons than computers, but she was still learning. Okay Buffy, just admit it - you're impressed by Sam and his stupid knowledge.
Dealing with the first demon was something she'd never even considered. Hadn't even thought about what the first demon would be. "Stupid clay-demon's been in the fire too long. Okay...I get that." She kneaded her hands together - a bit of a nervous habit, but also a way for her to think. Her hands gestured in the air, pink-polished fingernails waving as she peppily remembered, "One time I blew up this Judge demon guy with a rocket launcher." But Sam and Bobby didn't seem to like that idea.
Silence. "Kaplewy..." she said, almost trying to make a joke. But she was fading fast and shrinking away wasn't her style. "Listen...I know that Dean didn't contact me 'cause of knowing who I was...but, I can help. I...just don't know how. Yet." She stood firm. "I'm a strong fighter with strength from mystical origins. That has to count for something, right? It's not like I've never dealt with death. There have been people, close to me. They died and there was nothing I could do to fix it. But those deaths weren't like this...with magic. There has to be a way to change whatever deal Dean made. If I - we, kill this Lilith..."
