Millie shivered faintly as he whispered into her ear, but it was his words that made her swallow back a surprising sensation of tears.

Such a thought would always be with her, that she'd only been noticed because she had dropped such a drastic amount of weight, that it wasn't really her he wanted, just what she'd made herself to look like. But his words were touching and helped ease the thought even as her heart clenched a little bit.

"Thank you," she murmured quietly, "for saying that."

She allowed him to urge her forward and she settled herself on the pillows, smoothing down her robes over her dress self consciously.
