Summary: Mandy and Nathan spend the day together; she decides whether or not to meet with Terry.
It had been a very long week.
Between her meetings with Chuck, working on her new inventory for La Vie, and the time she was spending with Nathan, she almost hadn’t had enough time to think more about Terry’s letter. Almost.
Friday morning she woke feeling restless. Terry wanted to meet with her tonight, and she still wasn’t sure if she wanted to meet with him. She knew it was rude of her to have gone the whole week without owling him back, but it really couldn’t be helped. She hadn’t been ready to make a decision. She still wasn’t sure if she was ready.
Though she was supposed to be working in her home studio today, she found that she simply wasn’t in the mood to paint. She needed to get out, to do something. And she didn’t want to be alone.
Deciding to surprise Nathan, Mandy hung up her smock, put some clothes into a bag to change into later, should he decide to indulge her, and Apparated to Nott Manor, hoping that he wouldn’t be busy.
He wasn’t in his rooms, though. She peeked out into the hallway, wondering if she could look for him elsewhere, when she spotted a house elf. The creature informed her that Master Nathan was working out in the exercise room. She thanked it and, relieved to have a destination, went to find him.
He was working up quite a sweat, and she wouldn’t deny that it stirred something deep down inside of her to see him pounding on that punching bag. It went far beyond lust, she could recognize that much. She absently thought that perhaps they should work out together. It would certainly lead to even more amazing sex, she was sure.
“Nathan,” she called out to him as she dropped her bag onto a bench against the wall just inside the door. “I hope you don’t mind some company.”
