There's a man who's stretched himself out on the couch. He looks amazingly relaxed. Actually, he looks to be dozing lightly.

Two angels walk into a bar...
Now, you might think you know where this is going, but let's see if we can change things up a bit.
They haven't run into any physical objects, they've just entered the drinking establishment they believe to be Milliways. Slight difference to this place, Michael hasn't picked up on it, but Stephen may have (since Stephen has this tendency to know things). This, of course, doesn't mean that Stephen isn't vaguely confused by this turn of events. Michael is confused (but he's confused by a lot of things, even after all these centuries).
They look around the place a bit, see some familiar and unfamiliar faces, which, really, is to be expected when returning after a long time away. However, something else seems - off - about the place. 'Like it's not quite the same place they left.
"Stephen, did we take a wrong turn somewhere?" Michael asks his blond companion. |
