Today had been one of those days that Andromeda had felt guilty about ending early. Visiting Frank and Alice was always a little bit sticky for her but she made a point to go at least every two weeks to see them; she was still terribly fond of them, but it was hard to see people that you knew had once been such brilliant wizards more or less invalid.

Thus when she stepped into the bar it was with a slightly relieved huff. She wandered over to sit and ordered a cup of tea and a shot of Irish Cream to go with it, settling into the booth and scanning for any familiar faces.

There is a (somewhat scantily clad) mummy seated at the bar, sipping from a mug of butterbeer. Teddy is conspicuously absent for the moment, although that doesn't mean that she's left him alone. The little pseudo-baby-monitor spell is still up and functional, so she's liable to run off from the bar at any moment.

She's even lengthened her hair a little for the occasion. She does look a little bored, though, and one should never be bored on Halloween.

That's pretty standard around here, people using the convenient timehalt of the place to catch up on work.

...the baby with rabbit ears and the happy tune? That's a bit out of the ordinary, though entirely normal should you happen to know Teddy and Liir at all.

It's rare these days when Tony Stark can go anywhere without an entourage. In addition to the unwanted attention that having disgustingly high piles of cash will bring you, his handlers -- and that's how he referred to them, as "handlers" -- had stepped up his personal guard in the wake of the whole "kidnapping fiasco", meaning that not only was he traveling around with a driver and a secretary, but with four hundred extra pounds of man muscle on either side of him. It'd be flattering if it wasn't so damn annoying.

"Seriously, guys, do you have to follow so close? I feel like my -- my personal bubble's being invaded." He produces a generic waving motion, clearing a good foot and a half between himself and the hired help. "Usually when you follow that close I end up having to pay for drinks. Just -- take a smoke break already, will you? Here, Cubans. Go get yourself some Cuban cigars on me, okay?" He pushed a neat row of bills into the lobster claw of the nearest bodyguard.

"Mister Tony, your partner was pretty clear that we were to stay --"

Tony cuts him off. "Who, Obie? Not my partner. Nice sentiment, but we're not sharing a bathrobe and until we do --" he stops on the threshold of the bar and leans toward the doorway, checking the scene inside "-- tell you what." He descends a few steps onto the gritty street and hands each man another hundred dollar bill. "Go get yourself something better to tail for a while, okay? 'Got an invisible drink burning a hole in my stomach."

"Thank you, Mister Tony."

"Yeah, yeah, everybody's thankful. Get out of here, y'apes. You make me nervous."

With his attache dispatched, Tony Stark pinches the center of his file-neat tie and steps into the bar, ready for a little unscripted action.

Fiyero liked to think that he was taking this place in stride, all things considered. His son was here and considerably older than he remembered the boy being. Furthermore, he had apparently been raised by some sort of Wizard and ... he didn't know how well that sat with him, but Liir had seemed nice enough.

Still, he'd delayed coming downstairs for a day or so before his hunger got the best of him.

That was the reason he was now sitting at the bar, quietly eating a sandwich and a bowl of soup and mostly keeping to himself.

But we all know that you can't be by yourself at the bar for too long.

Not-so-tall, dark, scruffy mutant hanging out by the back door. Believe it or not, the cigar isn't actually lit this time. He's... just standing there.

It was awfully easy just to drift off with your own thoughts when you were at a bar where time didn't pass in your world while you were in it. Teddy was asleep upstairs and she had a charm on his room so that the smallest stirring would alert her wand immediately, so she felt terribly secure.

Thus it was that Andromeda Tonks, cup of hot tea in-hand, was staring out the Observation Window very intently.

This time when she comes into the bar, Andromeda Tonks is carrying two very important things: her grandson, Teddy, and an armful of expensive looking potions. Both are balanced precariously on either hip and she's a bit surprised when she glances up to see the bar.

"Oh, I see." She glances to the bartop and rolls her eyes as she sets Teddy down on a nearby stool. The potions are summarily deposited on the counter and she glances around to see if there are any familiar faces.

"This is a fine time to bring me here, you know, in the middle of an important potions run." She's only mildly annoyed, honestly -- it's just that the lime-green healer's robes with black pinstripes aren't exactly the most fetching things in the world to be stuck into a bar wearing.

Lo, was there a witch in the corner of the bar with a baby asleep next to her, snuggled up in several layers of blankets. Andromeda herself was leisurely flipping through a book on charms that she had retrieved from upstairs and occasionally making precise movements with her wand.

Despite the fact the charms were useful and it was, she supposed, relatively important in the long run, she looked rather...bored.

There was a man here that had once been her son, and there was a man here who was her son.

They were two different beings, and that ... made her head ache. It explained why she had let Liir take care of Teddy for the afternoon while she came down to the bar to smoke. It had been a few hours since then and she was finishing up probably her eighth cigarette. She'd need to stop now or she'd reek for days even with a dispersal charm.

Andromeda tapped one finger against the table, humming.

When the door opens once again to this place, he immediately scowls, and shuts it. He has better things to do.

Unfortunately, all doors in Castle Oblivion seem to lead to this place today.

(To the perspective of other patrons, the door opens and shuts about a dozen times, each time, showing a scowling Axel, and a very white room.)

"Fine," he finally says. "I get it." He steps in, letting the door shut behind him. He turns his head sharply as it does, his eyes narrowing; the door doesn't vanish.

"Happy now?"

Michael is leaning on the back of his chair, sitting backwards on it too. He's got a drink on the table behind him and he's casually watching the patrons in the bar itself. Though he may look it, he's not bored. Quiet, but not bored.

Andromeda stepped out of the kitchen with Teddy on her hip. She was fussing with his bib as she moved through the doorway and as such, it was several moments until she noticed that she was not in fact standing in her living room any longer. Her hand flew to the inside of her pocket and she gripped on her wand, drawing the boy closer to her chest.

Damnit, she'd really been hoping this would never happen again. She licked her lips and then sighed, settling herself down on a nearby couch and bouncing Teddy on her knee. Apparently the change of scenery had upset him at least moderately.

"Shhh, shhh. It's all right, Teddy Bear." Someone might want to inform her that this isn't where she thinks it is.
