This is Hollis Dumas, a former Green Beret who served in military intelligence and then became a special agent for the State Department. After some years working abroad, he was found to be a latent super and transferred to the AA in order to better serve the country. As well as be monitored by the people trained to do so. He's been with the agency for about four years, working as a sort of trainer and became a handler two years in--mostly because it let him work in the field more. He is currently the handler for Juno and their relationship is complicated, to say the least. Personality-wise, he's pretty reserved. He remains aloof from most of his coworkers, though he is often polite and terminally effective. He has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor and is definitely of the school 'the ends justify the means', though he has a paradoxical viewpoint about the people he is close to.
My other character is blastfielding and he is pretty much the worst person to make a superhero you could find. He has no real dark psychological flaws or anything like that, he just wants to have a life revolving around cartoons and snack food. He was a talk-radio DJ in Houston for most of his life, before he suddenly developed his powers. And his powers revolve around kinetic energy. Primarily, he can generate a field of pure kinetic energy and is learning to harness it in more controlled ways. Naturally, it explodes out from him in a 360-degree sphere, but he's learning to channel it in different shapes and from his arms. His secondary power is the power of kinetic absorption, which makes him resistant to a number of different sources of damage and is used to charge his 'blastfields'. But it can be overloaded without large effort at this point in his development. Personality-wise, he's a large man-child who means well and has never been fond of leaving his couch.
