Life at Hogwarts

A few notes about time at the school:

• The students can eat at any point during the blocks of time set aside for meals. (See the Course Schedules for more information.)
• There are a few breaks during the day (a half hour one in the morning and two 15 minute ones in the afternoon). If the class is a double, the break doesn't have to be in the middle of the class. The professor might just let the students out a little early.
• Curfew for upper years (5-7) is at 10 on school nights and 11 on the weekends. Curfew for lower years (1-4) is at 9 on school nights and 10 on the weekends. Students are only allowed to be out past those times if they have prefect responsibilities to take care of or are going to or from an Astronomy class.

All of the points listed below were determined randomly by a combination of coin flips and dice rolls. House points will be updated at least monthly, and Quidditch match results will be posted on the date the match is played or a few days afterward. (See the Academic Calendar for the exact dates). In addition, the winning House teams in Quidditch matches also get 1/4 of their winning score added to their House points (according to CoS).
