RPing - Third person, past tense.
- All RPing for the main RP is completed in the community
- When starting a thread, be sure to put outside of the cut: Who: (Which character you're using, whether it's open to any character or someone specific) When: (The month, date, day, and time of day the thread is taking place.) Where: (The location the thread is taking place in. Great Hall, Diagon Alley, ect.) Status: (In-progress or Complete)
- The actual post goes behind the cut.
- Tag any thread your character is in with their first and last name. Example: If I'm using James Potter in a thread, I would add 'James Potter' to the tags for that thread. This helps us keep organized and find threads in the past. If the thread is still in-progress, use the '! ip' tag. If it's complete, use the '! rp' tag. No other tags should be used. Journals - First person -- write as if your character is actually writing a journal entry
- Journal posts should have the month, date, and day at the top. Underneath that they should have whether the entry is public, private, or charmed for only certain characters to read
- Usually only children at Hogwarts have interactive journals (they're considered too insecure for practical use by adults), and they will use them to keep in contact over the summer. Adult characters may write in 'normal' journals which will not have the option for replies that kids' journals have. The adults do have a message system, however, and more information can be found here [link coming soon].
- If a journal is set to private, no student is going to be able to read it other than the author of the entry. It's considered a rule that, despite likely having the ability to hack children's journals, Hogwarts staff allow them to have their privacy and don't read even public entries.
If you have any questions or want more of the details for how the journals work and look, ask in a comment to this entry.
Characters - You may have three initially. After the first week, this goes up to four. The second week and it goes up to five. The third week the limit is lifted entirely.
- It is recommended that you have a balanced number of students and adults. You want to be able to play both sides of this RP.
