Is this community still being updated? I'm just curious because there haven't been any new specials, and I know holiday's are upon us...

I'd hate to see this community to just fizzle out. :)

First of all, allow me to apologize. I promised to get updates made on Sundays, but twice now, I've had to deal with other things and do the updates on Monday. I'm sorry for making all of you wait on me. As part of my apology, I've extended the deadline for September Specials for three days for those currently inactive characters. I was late, so they get to be.

Next, please say welcome to mister_dun, our newest member. I've updated the Friends List Updates post, or you can just go to his profile page and add him.

Finally, October's Specials are up. They're a bit Halloween-heavy, I know, and later this week I'll be posting a description of just what decorations our owner has put up around the café. Now's the perfect time to come mix it up a bit.

We've now gone through our first week of waiting for applications to be processed, and we only have one new member, I'm afraid. Let's all welcome misterteatime, who I just sent invitations to.

For those wondering, if you need to be on hiatus for a time due to offline reasons, all you need to do is let me know in ooc_cafe that you need to be gone and for how long. A reason would be nice, but it isn't necessary. So don't let that stop you from grabbing the characters or playtime you want.

I'm off for now. I'll be keeping an eye on this place for the rest of the day, so if anyone else signs up today, they should be approved fairly fast.

Just to remind everyone... Once this Sunday hits, character approvals and the master friends list updates will both happen on a weekly basis. However, before that happens, we have a few more people to welcome.

I'd like to say welcome to our very first members, herfatherseyes, littlefella, waste_lock, keelofstars, george_carter, isabel_giovanni, and wickedest. It's good to see that so many people are interested in this place already.

I've updated the friend list so that everyone can easily friend the other members of the community, and I'm still going to be trying to keep up with applications for this week. Starting Monday, applications will be processed only on Sundays, unless I have some reason to do it sooner or later.

I've noticed that replying to a screened comment will make that comment visible, which makes the Contact Mod post not as easily accessible as it could be. Because of that I'm going to ask that if you need a longer conversation with me, please reply to that post with a comment linking me to a locked post in your own journal, or a note that you need such a post in my journal, and we can talk there. Thanks.

Is there a limit to the number of characters you can claim?
As long as you can ensure that all of your characters remain active, I don't care how many you claim.

I don't want my character journal linked to my personal journal.
I ask for that information in screened comments in case I need to check in or for inactivity notices. I don't link them in the claimed characters list, and I don't care if you want to stay totally unknown otherwise.

For this first week, I'll likely be processing any applications within a day or two, rather than waiting until Sunday. That should give everyone a chance to join in and start playing immediately.

Steps

1) Check the claimed characters list.
2) Once you've chosen the character you want to play, create a character journal for him or her.
3) Fill out the form below and post it in a comment to this post. All comments to this post are screened for privacy.
4) Each Sunday, I will process the various forms. Characters are on a first-come, first-served basis.
5) Don't forget to go to asylum invitations and agree to join, once approved.
6) Only character journals are allowed in muse_cafe, but all journals are allowed in ooc_cafe.
