Who: Lucas Meyer and...OPEN! What: Lucas is working. No, seriously, he is Where: I'm just going to say a random deli, not too far from the Kiss Me, Kate theatre When: Friday around lunch time! Rating: PG-13 at the most, I'd wager
He'd barely touched the sandwich he'd ordered, if that was any indication on how pre-occupied his mind was at the moment. With various papers strewn across the table, one might mistake him for someone with an important and serious occupation...rather than the stage actor he was. The papers varied from contracts with some various companies that he needed for the Larson concert he was putting together, to emails indicating song selections from various actors and actresses, to letters from his own agent, pointing out spots that were going to be opening in various shows that he should take a look at. He was on his third coffee at this point, so he wasn't neglecting his lunch break completely. Even though he was sure that once the caffeine fully kicked in, his costars were going to be quite annoyed with him. No doubt it was going to be an energetic show tonight on his part. Which was well enough, since he'd missed the night before. Hey, a show with Will Ferrell only had its official opening once. No way he was going to miss that.
Letting out a sigh, he pulled his glasses away from his face and pinched the bridge of his nose. He wasn't cut out for this kind of work. Arranging things and filling out paperwork and making sure the money was going to match up? No. He was the kind of guy who stomped around in green makeup or wore horrible checkered pants on stage. This was someone else's job that he'd stolen for some reason. Oh well. If there was anything in life that Lucas took seriously (and there wasn't much) it was making sure that any show with Jonathan Larson's name attached to it was going to be well-done. And he was going to make sure of that, dammit. Sliding his glasses back on, he leaned back in his seat for a moment, tapping his pen rather obnoxiously on the table, which did garner him a few ugly looks from the patrons next to him. With a smile, he feigned ignorance as to what they were so annoyed about. Which, of course, was all the more annoying. Oh yes, he had obnoxious skills.
