Aunt Cassiopeia stupidly tried to poison Gellert Grindelwald. He killed her House Elf and bound her. She's mostly alright, but that just means he's out there now and likely ticked as all hell. She asked me to watch over Arcturus at the school and that's where I've been.

And if you happen to see him, I want you to turn around and walk in the opposite direction. Do you understand me? We've read about Grindelwald and all he did in the First War. I'm going to be heading to Ravenmoore tonight to continue to research the conundrum of the Wolfsbane potion and its side effects on you. I'll figure it out even if it takes me all night. We haven't got much time left.

I am currently on my way to the library as we speak, and I was wondering if I could ask for your assistance on a matter. I have been researching a potion called Wolfsbane. In the time where I come from, Wolfsbane has not been invented yet. However, as I understand it, it is eventually discovered and even taught how to brew in potions class. I attempted to brew a Wolfsbane potion I discovered in a book, but the side effects were terrible and thus unsuitable to be administered once again. I was wondering if you could assist me in finding more information about this potion, perhaps under another name and if you could guide me as to how your cataloging system works.

I would most appreciate it.

My Potions students are all doing exceptionally well. I'm rather strangely proud of that fact. They seem to understand the material quickly and perform their in-class duties eagerly all the time. Even those who tend to struggle with the subject are quick to ask for help and can assimilate the lesson promptly. However, at times, I feel as though I bore them. There's a time for lecture and a time for more hands-on practical work. They don't complain about either, but there are moments when I catch a few of them dozing off. Soon as I stop talking, they snap back to attention, and I know they don't mean to come to my class for a nap. I wonder if perhaps it's me. Is there a better way to keep their attentions during lecture?

By chance, has anyone heard from Kai Parker? It's been a while, and I am unable to get in contact with him. Or from now on, should we just assume it's that thing that happens when people disappear randomly and no one really knows why or how?

Have you been feeling alright with the potions? I know you don't need a reminder but it's in two days. You have been taking the potions as instructed, haven't you? We never decided what we were going to do that day. Are you coming to my place? I could set something up for you. I've never seen a werewolf transform. Does it.... hurt? Stupid question, nevermind. Have you spoken to Sirius? I never told you everything we talked about at the pub. Are you going to call out sick on Monday? Should I? Do you get hungry after you transform back? Should I have breakfast or something ready for you? What do you even wear? Don't your clothes get all torn up?

I'm going to brew you a potion that's going to help with your lycanthropy. It's called Wolfsbane. It's from the future. I've been doing some research. We just need to gather a few things. What do you think?

I find this country and it's peculiarities as unsettling as I do intriguing. Though I was certain I departed in summer, I arrive in winter. Arguably a matter of geography. Less readily explained is finding myself in another time entirely, filled with technological advances beyond common imaginations of my time. I find it all so curious. A land so deeply laced with magic, yet the community stands united rather than divided. Quite nearly a vision of my own design if not for the incredibly devastating flaws. I suppose you have tried your best and domesticated your flock. Is it the calm before the storm?

My dearest Aunt Cassiopeia has insisted on hosting a celebration, of which I have deemed small and intimate, in honor of my accomplishments at the school. I realize it is the holiday season and that there are many events and activities being had all at once, but I would be most grateful if you would be in attendance. Perhaps a brunch on Saturday or hor d'oeuvres and brandy in the evening. I'll leave the particulars up to you, Aunt Cassi.

Lucius and Narcissa, you are more than welcome to bring baby Belladora. Andromeda, should your daughter like to be in attendance as well, she would be most welcomed among us.

You'll be happy to know some of you more than others that after a very productive conversation with the professors of the Potions Department as well as the Head Administrator that I've been granted a permanent teaching position at the school to begin at the commencement of the next semester in January. By far, all those whom I shadowed and assisted during my time here have spoken overwhelmingly highly of me, as naturally they should, and more than willingly recommended me for the position to the administration.

As far as what my duties entail, I will be teaching Basic Potions to the youngest students, and I am also to be the faculty adviser for the Potions Club. I've come to realize whilst here in Preya that despite my character, which some might consider to be stiff and unyielding amongst other unflattering things , I am still able to appeal to the young ones in a way that will make education something other than a tedious exercise or necessity. In other words, I'm rather good at it. Explaining things in different ways has always been a bit of a forte for me, and I am pleased that the young ones have taken to my teaching methods and to my occasional bouts of wisdom with such fervor.

I hope to be able to do much more than simply teach. I hope to inspire the youth of today's age and to motivate them against committing the same mistakes of the past.

This is an outrage!

When I stepped into my classroom on the first day, I was terribly uncertain in my ability to teach. I still feel it yet, but I came to one realization that once I simply set to it rather than being concerned over what sort of teacher I would be - or would be perceived as - it became much easier. Having passion about the subject goes a long way in keeping them interested and me on track.

Now that we're into the semester and had a showcasing at the festival, I would like to invite everyone interested in both spectating and participating in Quidditch to meet two weeks from now - as to not interrupt any potential holiday plans - at Rosewood Park. I'll be looking forward to seeing you all then!
