He laughed, pulling her in for a hug. His muscular arms tightened around her frame leaving very little space between them. Caelee could easily put a smile on his face without really doing anything. Her reaction right now was enough to do just that. Even if she left him for Luna bay first.
"I transferred here. Looking for an apartment though. I really don't want to go back to the dorms," he answered. "Surprise!"
Cole was looking for an apartment for a few reasons. His last roommate had been strange. Very strange. In not the quirky kind of way. Whatever it was, Cole was spending more and more of his time at home and commuting to school. That wasn't going to happen here! Besides, he wanted a place he could stay year round and return to Chicago for visits. He was ready for a change.
"I missed you," he told her, a lopsided grin on his lips. "Haven't replaced me already, have you?" Cole teased. It was mostly a teasing remark though a small part of him wondered about it. Not that he had any right or room to talk. While he could never replace Caelee, he did find a way to fill her absence after she left. A way to fill it frequently.
