Zoe couldn't tell you what happened that night. And then she lost her phone. Again. It was gigantic. One would think it would be impossible to lose. And it was on silent. Even when she tried to call it, nothing. It was more than a little annoying. She found it two days later when she tore her apartment apart. It had fallen into a basket of clothes. That she didn't find right away because she was being lazy about putting her clothes away. Oops.
After she found it she tried getting Gage to tell her. But of course he was being a brat. And he wouldn't tell her! She kept pestering him about it but still he wouldn't budge. She really wanted to know too. She hated when he did things like that. Zoe wouldn't doubt that he purposely did it because he knew how much it bothered her to not know things. It wouldn't surprise her if that fact was keeping him amused!
It was a rare Saturday night she didn't have to work at Princeton Landing and she had the morning shift at the bowling alley. She had come home, showered and gotten comfortable in a pair of sweats and a tank top. She didn't know what she was doing later but it felt nice not to smell like the bowling alley!
She grabbed a towel and started trying to get as much water out of it when there was a knock at the door. Actually the knocking never stopped. Even when she yelled she'd be there in a second.
"For the love of," she muttered on her way to the door, exclaiming, "GOD!" when she opened the door. "GAGE!" Zoe yelled, dropping the towel and tackling him with a hug. "What are you doing here! Why didn't you call!" Honestly, she didn't care though. He was here. And she hugged him a little tighter. It was way too long since she'd seen him last.
