Chris didn't want to stop in the living room, he didn't want to deal with this but he forced himself to. He'd done enough avoiding things to last him a lifetime lately. Besides this was Cassie and Charles, he owed them both a chance to tell him why they hadn't told him. Why he'd had to find out this way. Just because he was willing to hear them out, didn't mean he had to accept it.
"Has that ever actually worked Charles? Saying that it's not what it looks like?" he asked quietly, not turning to look at either of them as he leaned against the wall beside the kitchen.
He turned his head towards his brother when he heard Charles approaching, knowing that the hurt he felt would be obvious to both of them. They could both read him like a book after all. "I know you both so I know that this isn't something that just started tonight. How long?" he asked, wishing he hadn't asked the question the minute it was off his lips. It wasn't his business after all how long they'd been doing whatever it was. It didn't involve him really.
