To be honest, Charles didn't have much of a clue as to what they were doing either. Or what they were. His track record with girls wasn't the best and his last relationship hadn't ended well at all. He was just enjoying the moment and more often than not those moments seemed to involve Cassie.
Ever since New Year's he had found himself hanging out with Cassie a little more frequently than usual. And a lot of times they were hanging out without his brother or his girlfriend. He didn't mind this change at all. He always liked Cassie. She was a great friend to his brother and was able to help him in areas that he couldn't. But as they hung out he found himself noticing things about her that he hadn't before. Like how she was still incredibly attractive even if she was just wearing a pair of sweatpants. Or the way she laughed at the comical parts of a movie.
But all of that was so far from his thoughts tonight. His focus had mostly been on the movie. He was trying to focus on the movie anyway. Every time she laughed, her laughter made him focus on her. So clearly this state of confusion they found themselves in was entirely her fault.
"You know I'm always happy to provide my stellar company," he assured her, flashing her a cheeky smile. They maneuvered their way through the parking lot as they headed in the direction of his car.
