Bee was having an awesome day so far. It should obvious from her smiles and laughter that she was having a great time and a lot of fun, too. Though that didn't stop her from voicing that particular thought throughout the day. To be perfectly honest, it wouldn't have mattered what they did. She still would have had just as great of a day. It was her company after all that she enjoyed. What they were doing was a bonus. After taking a break from rides, food and just wandering around, they were gravitating slowly towards the games. There was tons of brightly colored stuffed animals, hats, toys and other prizes. It was no surprise that it caught Bee's attention. They had made their way over to that game where you try to get the frogs into the lily pads. She always played this game but she never won. She couldn't resist dragging Brody over to it. She missed with the first frog and then the second. She hadn't expected the third frog to land perfectly in the lily pad. There was a bright smile on her face as she picked her prize as the attendant instructed her. "For you," Bee said, holding her newly won stuffed animal out to him. "He's cute, right?" she added, smiling at the stuffed german shepherd. Like Bee, Brody was having an awesome day. That probably wouldn't come as much of a surprise, though. He usually enjoyed himself when he was with his girlfriend. Rides… food… games… Carnivals had always been one of his favorite things, but he found himself thinking that it was more enjoyable when she was at his side. Of course, that same rule applied to most things. When they'd begun to make their way over to the games, he'd intended to win something for her. He wasn't the most athletic person in the world, but he'd been certain that he could do something to earn a stuffed animal of some sort. When they'd gotten close enough for him to do that, though, it had become clear that she had different plans, and he hadn't complained when she'd played the game instead. In fact, he'd cheered for her as she'd tossed the three frogs, and when the third one had landed on the lily pad, he'd pulled her into an exuberant hug. "For me?" he questioned when she offered him the rather large stuffed animal she'd won. "You just won me a stuffed animal… from a carnival game. That's… I suddenly feel like I should have a vagina…" While there was a hint of seriousness in what he was saying, it should've been obvious that he was only joking. After all, he'd never been stuck in those sorts of gender roles. "If I let you give me that stuffed dog, I'm going to have to go do something manly… something that requires a lot of testosterone. My testicles might fall off if I don't…" She had picked up on humor in his words but she didn't miss the bit of seriousness. That…hadn't been her intention. It was just something…nice. Besides, it was going to be in their room. So it was their dog anyway. "Well then…it's our dog," Bee said, holding the stuffed dog with a bright grin on her face. "After all we wouldn't want anything falling off." She wrapped her arm around the dog's neck to hold it and reached out to slip her hand in his. "I wouldn't be opposed to seeing you do something manly though. You could win him a friend," she suggested. "We wouldn't want him to be lonely," Bee added, bumping him with her hip. Brody flashed her a bright grin when she insisted that the dog was theirs. It was only a stuffed animal, but he really liked the sound of that... he liked thinking that his things or her things were becoming their things. (With thoughts like that, though, he probably should have a vagina.) “We definitely wouldn’t want anything falling off,” he agreed as his hand closed tightly around hers. “I don’t know about you, but I kinda like my testicles. They’re... nice.” He laughed softly as he labeled that particular part of his anatomy as nice. That was so totally lame, but he could be lame with her... he could be silly... he could be anything. That was why he loved her so much. “Let’s play another game, then,” he told her. “Something with a gun. That’s manly, right?” Without giving her a chance to answer, he led her over to one of the other booths. Once he’d paid, the man handed him a gun and instructed him to shoot the moving ducks. It took him a minute to get the hang of it, but he’d played enough violent video games that he didn’t have much trouble. When he finally won, he chose a giant gorilla. “A friend,” he informed her with a bright smile. “So that he doesn’t get lonely.” He had been mostly joking, but he felt a little better about himself now that he’d won them a stuffed animal as well. |
