Who: Millie McPherson
What: Figuring out how to find Tony’s mom
When: This past week sometime
Where: All over
Rating: G
Status: Narrative – Complete

Ever since that whole encounter with her boss, Millie had been thinking. Not about herself or the fact that she had sex with her boss or whatever, but what he had talked about before all of that. She knew that he didn’t talk to his mother but she hadn’t known really why until that day. And she most certainly didn’t know how badly he felt about it. He covered it up pretty well, but she could tell that not seeing his own mother especially for Christmas was hurting him. He wanted a family right? Or maybe he needed it. Either way, Millie was determined to figure out something.

It was going to have to start with actually finding his mother. Millie didn’t know where she was, or how to contact her. After she found her, then she’d figure out what to do. Maybe go and talk to her? She wouldn’t know what to say really, but at the very least she could try. The worst that would happen was that Tony didn’t like it, and told her to mind her own business. Though he could fire her for it, there was that but Millie was just trying to do the right thing. She’d deal with the consequences when and if they happened, figuring that was far down the road.

The hard part was figuring out where she was without being caught or having anyone catch onto her. Not that Millie was the most smooth individual when it came to things but in this case she was going to try her hardest not to raise any suspicions. She started with the phone book. A real one, honest to go flip through the pages kind because at least those didn’t leave a digital footprint. Of course his mom wasn’t listed, that wasn’t really surprising. Eventually she realized that she was going to have search through records there at the office. This part was going to be more difficult.

In the end she went with pretending that she was someone else and going down to one of the other floors where she promptly told the woman at the receptionist desk there that someone needed to send flowers to Mrs. Rico because of some benefit in her husband’s name. Millie thought it actually sounded neat. When the address flashed on the screen, Millie quickly memorized it and then feigned having forgot something vital and dashed upstairs where she wrote the address down on a tiny piece of paper and stuck it into her back pocket. No one was going to go look through there.

There wasn’t a number with the address and looking it up would almost surely get her caught some how. Besides she doubted that there was a phone number on listing anywhere. It was probably extremely private. All she could do was hop in her car and head down there and really hope that she had the right address. If it was then she’d just have to figure out what to say. That couldn’t be too hard, right?
