Who: Phoebe Reed & Donnie Dooger
Where: Reed's House
When: May 4, 1867; Very late.
Status: Complete
Summary: Phoebe's favorite outlaw stops for a visit, which ends in anger instead of fun nekkid times.
A once prospective client had been forced from her establishment just a moment before, and Phoebe Reed was a frustrated woman in that moment. Removing men from the premises wasn't exactly unheard of, and while not enjoyed, if never bothered her quite this much. The man had been one she'd chatted with in town before. At the time of their chat he'd seemed so normal, almost kind even. But then he'd arrived at Reed's House with nothing but ugly words about her. Worse then that though, ugly words about her workers, about her friends.
Needless to say it had her in a bit of a poor mood. Though she was excellent at pushing aside her true feelings and putting on a charming face for clients, so she worried not about any of them realizing. Not wanting any of the others who weren't currently with clients of their own to realize, she'd decided it was a good moment to step into the back and have a smoke.
She pushed the door mostly closed behind her, leaving a crack open so she could better hear what was happening inside, slumping against the house. It took her a moment to get the hand rolled cigarette lit, but she refuses to acknowledge that her hand had a slight shake to it. Refused to acknowledge that the man she'd thought to be kind turned out to be vile, like most, because it wasn't worth the thought. She knew that once she'd had a drag or two the shake would disappear, same as it always did when someone, always someone she'd thought was kind or a friend, finally manage to shake her feelings.
Phoebe closed her eyes and she pulled in the burning relieve of the cigarettes smoke, completely lost to it and taking no notice in the man arriving at the back entrance.
[ooc: I thought it made sense for him to arrive at the back door better then the front, but I'm happy to change it if you disagree hun!]
