ESCAPE THE HEDGE AND REGAIN YOUR HUMANITY, OR FALL INTO MADNESS.

Boston, Massachusetts—Once the rallying point for those yearning for freedom and an end to oppression. These days Boston plays host to a different kind of downtrodden soul. These people are known as Changelings—humans spirited away by the cruel, twisted creatures known as the True Fae. Don't be deceived—these faeries are the furthest thing from Tinkerbell, and their once prisoners are now on the run from the twisted Wonderland known as Arcadia.

The citizens of the Beacon Freehold are free for now—free to try to fit the tarnished pieces of their humanity back together and to come to terms with what they have experienced. But though they may have temporarily outrun their captors, the fear of the True Fae is never far behind them, and no Changeling can be sure if their freedom will last, or if the man who sells them out won't be their best friend...

The Good Folk is based on White Wolf's Changeling: The Lost.

Premise

May 2, 2005. On the seven-year anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, Minister Shacklebolt announces the Ministry of Magic’s intention to begin an experimental live/work community in Hogsmeade Village. For the first time since the Second War, halfbloods, Muggleborns, and purebloods are to reside in complete cooperation and harmony.

Game opens June 20th.

    Savage Garden: Into the Abyss

    Unwanted, unloved -- these are apt descriptors for the boys and girls who come to live in Pan's Treehouse. Promised a better life and a family of sorts, their unknown role is as pawns in a centuries-long war between a band of unruly youths and a legion of undead pirates. Peter Pan is their prince in this war, and his Lost boys play the role of his generals, sworn to protect the imaginaries in their charge. In exchange for this protection - as well as everlasting life and the love they were once denied - they are expected to fulfill the terms of the blood oath: whenever a Lost needs or desires, an imaginary must allow him to feed. A small price to pay when darkness looms ahead. All must prepare for a war unlike any Neverland has seen, for the newly arisen captain of the pirate ship The Devil's Whore awaits... and he has a blood contract of his own to fulfill.

    Once, long ago, the creatures known collectively as 'the Fae' lived among the mortals known as humans. Often, they would shepherd the younger race in more positive directions - though at times they could cause discord due to their natural tendency towards dominance or mischief. After a span of time, however, humanity began to grow in to its own. Their cultures expanded in earnest away from the Fae and their teachings. As humanity swelled and built itself up, those of the Fae watched with growing tension. Thus, most of the Fae races came together to birth forth their own place of sanctuary - moving from the human world, and in to their own realm. From time to time, they would visit humanity to give help or to use it as a retreat from their own woes in the realm they'd created. To this day, there are portals which lay open between the realms. While the traffic back and forth is slow, it still does happen. What is it like when these worlds collide?

    Welcome to Mirage, a modern fantasy/supernatural RPG which takes place in the fictional town of Greenbrier, New York and the Faerie Realm. While most of the citizens of Greenbrier are unaware of it, their town plays host to a very large and well used portal in to Faerie. Writers may house their characters either in the human side of the portal, or in Faerie itself - according to what is appropriate for their character. We are hoping for a thriving community filled with talented writers and unique, wonderful characters to interact with. So, what shall Mirage hold for your creations?

    "Well, sit right back and you'll hear a tale..."

    The tale of a fateful voyage of the Song of the Seas. A magnificent liner, billed to be the largest ever built. Carrying 6,800 passengers for a promotional voyage, the year old superliner had always had uneventful trips.

    Until this one. Getting caught up in a storm near the Sargasso Sea, the oceanliner sinks, taking most of her passengers and crew with her. The rest wash up on a mysterious island that is not what it seems.

    Opening soon. Now accepting original characters only. Survivors of the shipwreck and natives of the island welcome. Come join our adventures on the mysterious Sargasso Island.

    Creatures of fantasy now called 'supernaturals' interact every day with humans through the mystical protection of THE VEIL.

    Some were once known as gods and goddesses, the inspiration for human fairy tales, and the foundation of human folklore. Most have adapted to a mundane life beyond THE VEIL masquerading as humans. Others have chosen to remain behind it outside of the prying reach of humanity out of fear.

    Yet, not all the supernaturals are content to have humans deceived by this convenient 'gift'. There are those who would see it destroyed along with the AGE OF REASON. A global corporation called AEGIS exists to train individuals capable of piercing THE VEIL to handle these uprisings.

    Welcome to San Francisco, CA. A very bizarre city setting established as the heart of this struggle in modern day for original fantasy, folklore, paranormal, and supernatural characters.

    The community has been around since 2010.

    Your life has not been an easy one. Many have tried to make you see reason, and it seems like you make one mistake after another. Some say you never stood a chance in this world but somewhere in your deepest heart of hearts, you know that’s not true. You can remember so clearly walking on your path of destruction, and the world stilling around you as you hit that one defining moment. That one chance to get your life together, or continue this path to whatever oblivion awaited you.

    You made the wrong choice, but don’t worry. There is someone looking out for you. This force of good wants you to find redemption. The force has tried to be subtle, but you missed its cues. You didn’t realize it, but through-out the course of your life you were giving three major opportunities to turn your life around – and failed every choice. Now your life is about to be highjacked.

    How the occupants come to the hotel is always a little different, but the same key details are always the same. A person suffers an extremely long period of bad luck – it could be a week, it could even be months. At some point in the chaos, an opportunity is presented to them. A job offer. A new deal. A new identity. Whatever the person feels they need most presents themselves – if they’re willing to travel to get it. Sometimes they’re told to go to California, sometimes it’s Vegas, but the trip is doomed from the start. Connecting flights will be canceled. Rental cars will break down in the middle of the Mojave desert. Phone signals go out. Batteries die. There’s no choice but to walk it. The details of the journey differ, but the end result is always the same.

    In the distance, you see a hotel.

    Chicago ain't never been pretty, but it just got worse when those wanna-be immortal assholes moved in. You know who I mean; the damned deities. They think they're hot shit, even though they're in mortal bodies now. Whole reincarnation crap, don't even get me started. All I know is that now they're running the show, just like they used to in the old days. And if you get tangled up with one, there are a million more who want their slice of the pie. My advice? Stay the hell away from all of them. It ain't worth it.
