X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and we accept new characters as well as encourage people to adopt one of our orphans.

For almost three decades Lord Voldemort threatened the Wizarding World and Muggle World alike. He went from being one of the most powerful Dark Lords ever to almost being defeated by a baby before rising once again. He spent much of his time recruiting the other races to assist him in the destruction of the Wizarding World. Harry Potter and his friends put a kink in his plan however and defeated him, saving their world.
Or so they thought.
With the absence of Voldemort, some of the other races have been biding their time, building their own armies so as to rise up and declare wars of their own. Will the Wizarding World be ready for another attack? Will an unfamiliar foe succeed where Voldemort failed? Only time will tell….
The year is 2019, it's been twenty-one years since the Battle of Hogwarts when Harry Potter defeated The Dark Lord. Life has gone back to normal for the survivors; if being a Wizard was normal to begin with. But then again has life really gone back to normal for everyone? The Trio and their friends have children of their own now. Have they taken after their parents? Are they the complete opposite? It's now their turn to create their own stories.
This is a Third Generation, Canon based game. It picks up two years after the Deathly Hallows Epilogue. Didn't like the Epilogue? That's ok, neither did I, but here's your chance to create your own Epilogue.

Maximum Ride is a wonderful ski resort nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. All times of the year, you can come out and have a great time. In the summer time, they have concerts, camping, fishing, and other watersports. However, if you’re not up for all of that you can head on into the wonderful metropolis of Denver, and have a blast at one of the many local attractions.  It's happy hour at the Knife-in-the-Eye Pub. Kit Marlowe tends bar, and Tiberius Claudius Drusus Nero Germanicus is probably in the back cooking the books. The Knife-in-the-Eye is one of the more happening joints on Gropecunt Lane, somewhere in the underworld, where those who have been immortalized in song and story...are stuck. One for the Books is a semi-structured, primarily comedic LJ RP for historical figures. Rulers, statesmen, scholars, artists, soldiers, and eccentrics from all periods and all places congregate at the Knife-in-the-Eye and contemplate the ineffable -- when they're not at each others' throats, that is. From Will Shakespeare introducing his fellow patrons to the joys of Elizabethan Scrabble, to Ramses II and Montezuma having a pyramid-measuring contest, to Peter the Great dangling things over Napoleon's head, to Nero and the Marquis de Sade throwing the craziest parties history's ever seen, to Vlad Tepes attempting to woo Countess Elizabeth Bathory, it's never boring. |

Modern day living for supernatural beings just ain't what it ought to be. An outbreak of vampire and werewolf related crimes had the American government up in arms. Through the usage of brute force and ruthless tactics, the government packed up the offending monstrosities, hauling them off to an island. Each individual was left in a random house on the island with others that they may or may not have met previously. Their electricity worked, they had plumbing and there were two small libraries on the land. Every being received a laptop, servers blocking them from the entirety of the internet. All they could access was a blogging program. Little did they know, their lives and posts were being used as part of a psychology experiment. The island of Deduco was split in unequal halves by a large forest. On the front of both libraries was a plaque issued by the government: "Eradicate the other species or forever enjoy life in Deduco." Presented as a challenge to rekindle old rivalries between the species, the government hoped they would annihilate eachother and leave no being standing. Their promise, however, was that they would bring back the surviving species to America to live in peace with the humans. Most beings believed that they could live peacefully on the island. There were flaws in this theory. The forest was filled with wildlife that either species would find easy to feed from- but the animal population would not be replenished. The vampires would have to seek out the werewolves to feed from- but the werewolves would have nothing to eat. The battle would have to begin eventually. |
