Werewolf attacks have become the stuff of everyday life for much of Wizarding Britain, the Chamber of Secrets is being re-awoken by Slytherin himself, and a certain Dark Lord just doesn't know how to stay dead... Harry Potter, the Head of the Aurors, has his Department fighting back with around the clock patrols and Hit Wizards are busier than ever before, but even with extra security, is Hogwarts safe? How long will the tension build? How much can those who saved the world take?  Though the so-called Golden Age of King Char and Queen Ella is long over- so long ago now that few are still alive who can remember it- life continues on much as it ever did. Merchants travel the lands far and wide, finding new and exotic goods to bring back to Greenville, the town just outside the royal palace. Greenville's markets are thriving, and most of the town's inhabitants pay little mind to the castle looming in the distance. That is, of course, until The Gray Death appears. There is no known cure. Sufferers initially feel very weak, and are soon not even able to get out of bed. Overcome by fever, their complexions turn gray and they die. Still, Greenville believes it is safe- there are just rumors of the illness, and being so close to the castle, they're safe, right? The illness knows no boundaries, a fact that is brought starkly to light when the King of Frell contracts the disease and dies a short time later. The King leaves behind a land in limbo- his wife, the Queen, is trying her level best to keep power from the hands of their immature son. Heroes search for a cure, trying to avenge their fallen King. Life in Greenville continues on, if a bit more cautiously. Life in the court, however, is marked by ambition and intrigue. Courtiers' motives are far from pure, and ambitions are on the rise. No one is sure who will emerge victorious. Fair is an original character role playing game inspired by Ella Enchanted, Fairest, and The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. The game takes place in the world created by those books, but no canon knowledge is required or expected. All fantasy characters welcomed! ☆ Moderator ☆ Threading Community ☆ |

 On May 1st, 2009, nation leaders spoke together to reveal a truth to the world: the supernatural world is real. Vampires, werewolves, and more exist. They have been known to the government for a long time, and now they are coming out of the shadows - and they come with a message. They are not a threat. They mean no danger to humans. But there are other things out there that do. The days that followed changed everything most people believed they knew about the world, about history, and most importantly, about themselves. Celebrities, politicians, the family down the street - they began revealing their true identities, and telling the world what they really were. Missing people that had been turned against their will came out of hiding, and orginizations popped up to reunite them with their families. The revealing of the supernatural was penned in the media as the Light of May, as society made room for the supernatural. It wasn't easy. Many, human and supernatural alike, were terrified of what this would mean. Some wanted to keep the supernatural abominations down. Leading figures of both Democratic and Republican parties were revealed to be supernaturals themselves, and joined together to fight for civil rights for the supernatural. It is revealed that if the supernatural were wiped out, half of the entire world's population would be gone. Independent parties popped up through-out the country, opposing supernatural rights, and the fight goes on. But those aren't the only battles being fought. Why did the Light of May happen? If the supernatural has always existed, why are they only making themselves known now? For centuries, those with supernatural blood have been hunted, held, and killed - all for the benefits of their blood to hunters, and vampires who don't want to play by the rules of etiquette. There was a time when the angels, and even the fae, fought to protect them. But the fae have been extinct for hundreds of years, and worse - the angels seem to have disappeared. There is nothing fighting the demons of the world at bay now. The human race is at risk, and they are not alone.  The Light of May is an original supernatural game, taking place in a time when the world is adjusting to the world that has been hidden since the beginning of time. The game is set in Ann Arbor, Michigan, centered around a fictional township called Scarlet Oak. Characters of many races are up for play, as are those trusty humans. The Light of May will be focusing on characters adjustments and the eventual struggle against demons, hunters, and more. The Light of May is for original characters only. The global city of Eden is one of the leading urban areas of commerce, fashion, and entertainment. It is located adjacent to Lake Sunil and has a population of over seven million people. The politics of Eden has been dominated by controversy, corruption, and scandals. This political environment allows for organized crime to flourish, influencing many sectors of government and business, including enforcement and law. Many have tried to oppose, few have managed to leave a footprint. Though blanketed in a cloak of opulence, Eden's lower class lives in their own sort of hell. They rely on the mercy of those above and find any avenue possible (usually organized crime) to provide a level of comfort for their family. Let it be known that no group of people have gone untouched by the corruption in the city. They see it on the news, read it in the paper, and many live it through their daily lives.  And Harry realized, with a shock so huge it seemed to root him to the spot, that Malfoy was crying - actually crying - tears streaming down his pale face into the grimy basin. Malfoy gasped, and Harry was confused as Malfoy looked down into his own empty hand as if he'd never seen it before then gulped and, with a great shudder, looked up into the cracked mirror and saw Harry staring at him over his shoulder. Wished RP is an AU game that diverges from canon midway through Half-Blood Prince and aims to honor canon while allowing players to craft their own end to the story we all spent years following. Wished is a thread and scene based, Trio-Era game that begins with the Trio's seventh year. Voldemort is still lurking, if weakened, and a final showdown still threatens - but how we get there, and what happens afterward, will look very different. Wished is only recently opened, and is an active and friendly community with chances for plot and character development for all characters. “ . . . All that was left in Pandora’s box was hope.” During the 21st century, a global pandemic swept over the world. They dubbed it the “Pandora virus,” or PV for short, because of its devastating nature. The virus tore through the world’s population. It killed almost one-third of humanity in its first month alone. Countries everywhere grew panicked, believing it to be a work of biological terrorism. Nation stood against nation, and a worldwide war began. Much of earth was laid to waste within just a handful of months by the combined effects of nuclear war and the Pandora virus. Survivors immune to the virus found the world uninhabitable, and many of them perished due to radiation poisoning or famine. |
