Havenwood, NY boasts of a long and varied history since its founding in 1661, and takes pride in the numerous agricultural and industrial endeavors it provides. However, the normal citizens of Havenwood don't really know just how varied their towns history actually is. The strange occurrences have been rationalized so much that it's simply become a charming and interesting aspect of life in Havenwood. Life after Virgil Hughes grisly revenge has returned to normal (or what counts as normal), but the warlock isn't finished with the town. As he bides his time in the shadows, a new threat from far eastern Russia makes it way to Havenwood...

If you enjoy writing in urban fantasy, slice-of-life settings, and like both character driven plots, we encourage you to check us out. The Mods are always flexible, so don't hesitate to drop them your ideas, and the community is friendly and always on the lookout for new members.

The sleepy, rural town of Kingwood, California may seem like any other small town, but things are not what they appear. For in this little town in Northern California, the people that live their day to day lives, year after year, are not what they seem.

Imbued with the memories of our most beloved characters out of storybooks, the citizens of Kingwood are living, breathing reincarnations of these legends. No one knows why they exist.

In fact, aside from dreams and memories that sometimes spark up, no one is even aware that anything is different about them or their town. However, they are different and it is the town's magic that sparks the character deep within. And with more and more people moving to Kingwood, the lines between real and make believe continue to become more and more...

Imagine a world where all the mythological beings which people have ever believed in are still with us. Immortals, demons, gods and monsters walk amongst us every day. They hide from our view, keeping their world a secret, and yet our stories and belief are what sustains them.

From the Machine is a mythology-based roleplaying game. It is set in modern America where figures of mythology, folklore and even history continue to live their lives, hidden among the mortals. Some of these beings are worshipped readily, and they remain strong. For others, belief is fading, and they are growing weak.

 There was once a series of connected Universes known as 'The Multiverse'. The Goddess of Chaos looked after these Universes, and for several thousands of years, everything seemed to be running smoothly. Until that day, the day that Chaos made a mistake. Echoing across time and space came a word, one that was profound but which no one would remember. That word was: "Oops."

In a paniced attempt to fix her mistake, she crashed the entirety of the Multiverse into Earth, merging it into the 'between places'. Nothing could possibly go wrong with that plan! Most people didn't even notice.

Unfortunately for your character, it is three months later and they are amongst several other people who are starting to notice.

But it gets better! It seems like some of the lines between reality and these other universes are unraveling entirely. "Oops", as these brave characters are going to discover, really doesn't begin to cover it.

Pathways RPG is a new game opening its doors on September 07! Characters in the game start off as 'normal' people living a 'normal' life and will slowly recover their canon memories and powers as they interact with the hundreds of universes that got crashed into Earth. Sound like fun? Come and join us!

It's just like any other day, except maybe on this particular day you wake up with a bit of a headache. You think maybe it's just a hangover from that party you went to last night, and then you start hearing a voice inside your head. Are you going crazy? No. Are you imagining things? No. Is there actually a fictional person living inside your head?

Reincarnation has been a world-wide phenomenon for centuries. Fictional entities taking up residence in the minds of unsuspecting people; sharing memories, histories, and abilities. It began in secret, but as the number of reincarnates grew in the world it became increasingly hard to remain unnoticed, or to exist together peacefully.

Congratulations, you've just become a reincarnate. Welcome to the war.

It's 2012 and the Reincarnate War has been waged for centuries. Camelot and CORE have been locked in an ongoing battle of ideals, with the neutral agent the Agency trying in vain to keep the peace. Acts of terrorism, fighting in the streets and heavy casualties on both sides have painted the reincarnate community red, until a battle that lasted the night named Camelot the victor. Survivors began to rebuild a community now in shambles, and the magic of reincarnation has shifted with the appearance of fictional territories all over the world.

Even worse, former members of CORE have formed a new terrorist group called the Resistance. Their attacks have been brutal, and among these attacks has come the outing of reincarnates to the public. Some have accepted it with a fascination; others, fearing change and the Resistance, have reacted in outrage towards reincarnates. Mundie governments are no longer cooperating with the Agency for the protection of the community, and a temporary alliance between the Agency and Camelot has been made to weather the storm.

Where will you stand? With the Resistance, aiming for reincarnate superiority? With Camelot, aiming for the destruction of the Resistance? With the Agency, working hard to keep together a crumbling world? Or will you chance it on your own in a world where reality is being literally reshaped below your feet? The choice is yours.
