Welcome to Cross Creek

Cross Creek, a city built on the shores of a waterway that serves as a supernatural rift between realms: heaven, hell, purgatory and other supernatural dimensions. The more supernatural beings that have settled on the banks of the creek, the wider and deeper the creek has grown.

The wolves were the first to settle, establishing their pack on the western banks of a small creek known for its deceptive and deadly undertow. Next to arrive were the vampires with their secrets and intrigue. Humans, too afraid to cross the water and risk their lives, began inhabiting the eastern banks of the town while other supernatural creatures flowed to the area as if answering a siren's call. The curious fae and fierce merfolk also arrived from their own realms, becoming the first truly visible supernatural inhabitants. The addition of witches, demigods, demons and angels as residents helped develop Cross Creek into a truly supernatural-friendly city. There are now beings residing in this supernatural haven that have yet to be heard of ... .

As the Iron Ridge Pack struggles to recover from the recent murder of their Alpha and a faction of vampires have secretly begun a territorial war for the eastern shore, both the city's human and supernatural residents are being hunted by a serial killer without bias toward his victims. The fae and merfolk, whose blood provides different types of highs for supernatural beings, struggle to defend their individual species from becoming slaves in an underground species trading market. Meanwhile, other supernatural beings and humans alike attempt to maintain their lifestyles and raise families while living in a city settled on a river that is a portal between realms.

A character and plot-driven supernatural rpg, we are currently seeking original, creative characters and species, as well as canon characters from the fandoms of Supernatural, The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. We promote a welcoming environment for writers who enjoy diverse characters, storylines and detailed plots surrounding the supernatural. [info]crosscreek provides an active and fun, yet laid back environment for the creative and mature role-player. Due to content involved in the game, players must be at least 18 years of age in order to apply. Join us with a species of your own or choose from one of the many already established!

The Lost and Found

Supernaturals are in every dark corner of the world.

The world is filled with so many types of people, it seems near impossible to keep track of all of them. But that is what "They" do. It's unclear when "They" started, how "They" became so organized, but as long as anyone can remember, "They" have been there in the shadows, watching. Few people know who "They" really are, what "They" are called, but their purpose is well known throughout supernaturals; "They" keep you safe. Safe from the humans, safe from other supernatural species.

Sometimes, safe from yourself.

This is where L'académie des Objets Trouvés comes in. Affectionately called The Lost and Found, it is a school where adolescent supernaturals are taught to hone their skills, hide their telling physical attributes, and adapt to living in the world of the humans. Only .03% of the world population are supernatural, and it is only through the close monitoring and assimilation strategies of schools like this that they have continued to thrive undetected.

The Lost and Found is a supernatural school with a complicated history and an easy premise. Players can play as students or teachers, and can choose from a variety of supernatural races (or suggest their own!). Occasional school wide plots ranging from creepy to silly help keep things lively, and players always have input. Students are between the ages of 16-19, and players must be 18+ (due to mature content).

It's just like any other boarding school- grades, tests, dances, rumors, crushes, roommates, and bad cafeteria food. The only difference is here, your teacher really is a demon. Well... there is one additional difference, just a small, minor catch.

You're not allowed to leave until "They" decide you're ready.

interregnum (n.) a period of discontinuity or "gap" in a government, organization, or social order

they started arriving from many different universes without any apparent reason. the world around them appears to have once been highly developed, but everything had been overrun as nature reclaimed the planet. some started working to reclaim these spaces or moved to build new settlements. others went off exploring. others still began searching for answers.

though no one has the full picture, it appears as if this world was abandoned in anticipation of some catastrophe. it's unclear if it has happened or may happen yet but life in the meantime life must go on. things and people are still too far flung for a new world order but society surely but slowly is starting to rebuild this world into a new home.

Ex Machina

Imagine a world where all the mythological beings which people have ever believed in are still with us. Immortals, demons, gods and monsters walk amongst us every day. They hide from our view, keeping their world a secret, and yet our stories and belief are what sustains them.

From the Machine is a mythology-based roleplaying game. It is set in modern America where figures of mythology, folklore and even history continue to live their lives, hidden among the mortals. Some of these beings are worshipped readily, and they remain strong. For others, belief is fading, and they are growing weak.

gladiator (n.) an armed combatant who entertains audiences in violent confrontations with other gladiators, wild animals, and condemned criminals

it began with twenty four fighters kidnapped for a televised arena game. the show became a runaway hit. more fighters were gathered. the arenas became grander and more diverse. the living facilities were expanded with increasing luxuries and challenges to occupy the fighters in their downtime. it has become a world of its own.

the aliens who captured the fighters and run the arenas have only acknowledged one motive for their actions: entertainment. obviously there are those who don't believe this or simply don't care and still refuse to play by the rules. struggle and resist or accept your fate, either way, the next arena will come.

Project Apex

When your eyes open you're staring up at fluorescent lights. The world is hazy and you feel as though you’ve been in this place a long time. Slowly, awareness filters in. You’re lying in a hospital bed, an IV in your arm. You wear a hospital gown and a bracelet identifying you as a subject number.

Not patient. Subject. This is all wrong.

You are not in a hospital room. You sit up and take in your surroundings. The hospital bed is in the exact center of a small room. The floors, ceiling, and three of the walls are solid, bare concrete. The fourth wall is one-way glass. You can’t see to the other side, but you know you’re being watched. The only other thing in the room is a small cardboard box. Slowly you make your way to it and find whatever clothing you were wearing last.

You remember now. You’d been going about your daily life when someone approached you. You had a moment’s warning that you were in danger, and then—nothing. You opened your eyes and found yourself staring up at fluorescent lights.

Why are you here? Who else have they taken? Who is it behind the fourth wall?

Project Apex is an original psychological horror game centering around the abduction of a seemingly random group of people, and the experiments they are subjected to. Every day the characters will be tested against strange scenarios and harsh stimuli. They will have no choice but to live and work with one another in the strange, labyrinthian complex they have been placed in. Play by the rules and be rewarded. Refuse, and be punished. They have no contact with their captors, but one thing is apparent: escape is impossible.

Through the course of gameplay the characters will come to realize their selection for this involuntary experiment isn’t random at all. Each and every one of them has something in common - a secret that’s been kept from them their whole lives...
