"You never wondered how she got her nickname?" Tony asked, disappointed by Bruce's total disregard for the basic tenets of his distinguished House. Truth was, Tony gave her that name, but that wasn't the point here. "Don't you remember Hogan? Yeah, third year-- she's cold as ice, I'm telling you. Hogan's head over heels for her, right, following her around like a puppy dog, carrying her books, one time he even got her to let him do her homework but that was a total disaster, you get it. So it's Christmas time-- the holidays, Bruce, I'm telling you, she doesn't give a hairy hippogiff nut about good will t'ward man-- and she thinks its clear at this point that she'd be icing him out by not acknowledging him at all and not getting him a gift, OR, and here's the fucked up part, she could get him something he would never forget. She gets him this real nice box of pepper imps, big, beautiful bow on it, card with a little heart on it and everything, and he just about faints. He eats them all in about ten seconds he's so excited. But these weren't just any pepper imps-- she made them extra spicy, burn a hole in your tongue, pop off the top of your head, spicy. He ate them so fast, he didn't even taste it-- they were in his gut before they could even react. When he didn't come back after the Christmas holidays, she was telling everyone he was obviously expelled for that homework switching fiasco. I mean, she might be a total beast, but you might actually be lucky to have caught Pearl's eye. She's the only gal in this place that might be able to protect you when Pepper decides you're next."
