Plan out your characters for the upcoming college meme :D

Hiiii bbs. This is a (long overdue) plot post. So, you know, plot away! Tell me your hopes and dreams.

Halloween is just around the corner so let's talk our yearly Halloween stuff and things. I've got a general premise, but haven't hammered out the details. I figure we can get them filled in here. Okay so, premise is these portals randomly appear and whether you decide to step on through or get too close and get sucked in (or just completely ignore them and go about your day's errands so that your character doesn't have to participate if you don't want them to), you end up in a horror movie. Or rather, a horror movie 'genre'. The chat's been really stupid about letting me scroll back so I can't go look at the ideas we came up with before but I know there was stuff like slasher, aliens, evil dolls, ghosts, vampires, creatures, anything you can think of. The format will be a main post and then different threads of each genre within the post. We just have some stuff we need to figure out.

PLOT POST

I realize I'm getting tags like once a week (why has that become appropriate, shame on your families) so you might not want to think about this, or you're only that slow because you don't know how to think about this anymore, but like make this post work in your favour. Tell everyone what is up, what is slowing you down, what plot things are or aren't working for you or you don't understand, what you'd rather be thinking about, how cute your dogs are so you just want to spend time with them. This is all valid.

The point is, this is officially the BILLIONTH plot post talking about Dark Avengers and I hope to make it one of the last, so focus the FUCK UP. Lay your feelings out like so if it tickles you: ( in a special way )

This can be like a normal plotting post, but actually it is also a post for a plot.
YEAH, THAT MAKES SENSE.


So we all know Wanda has a time machine, right? Well, she does. You're welcome. It's supposed to be an extended plot where she and various comrades find Infinity Gems, but so far she's only found the Soul Gem and Tony took it because he's an asshole. So that's where we're at.

Coming up, Tony returns to the scene of the crime to play with the time machine some more. THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN. Shortly, Tony's going to pop over to Wanda's place only to witness another Tony from an alternate dimension come out of the machine. NewTony looks normal enough and no one is that worried until Tony goes through the machine himself, thus trading dimensional places with NewTony and shutting down the machine until he can find the Infinity Gem, as per the comic logic that dictated our last Gem adventure.

NewTony has to take Tony's place until they can figure this all out, because no one can know Wanda has a time machine in case Hammer finds out, finds her, and uses them both for his own sinister plans. That seems reasonable enough until NewTony starts doing really fucked up things.
MEANWHILE, in an alternate dimension, Tony meets NewEveryoneElse (that's you). Welcome to the universe where everyone is Evil with a capital E! Consider role reversal as well, so your Lokis and Magnetos might be on the side of justice. Piss to them, though, because Director Fury is in charge and has killed enough orphans to have a bazillion dollars or something. EVIL.

THAT MEANS THERE'S TWO PLOTTHREADS TO PLAY IN.
The first is set in this universe, where NewTony is confusing everyone by being slightly more antisocial than usual and becoming a nuisance. Is this a mystery to solve or do you just stop taking his calls?
The second is an alternate timeline where your characters are possibly morally bankrupt versions of themselves, going about their business of kicking puppies and twirling their moustaches. Some of them might be dealing with this wimpy, uncharacteristically empathetic Tony who keeps sneaking around in SHIELD and is just asking to have his ass kicked.

This isn't set in stone. If any of it makes sense, please, contribute your thoughts, explore the options, tear down the pieces that don't work and reinforce them with better ideas. If it doesn't make sense, ask questions.
Most importantly, if you want to play, say so and more exciting stories will grow from this strange, moldy bread of a plot.

EDIT: wow maybe I should have mentioned how this ends. Maybe? ULTIMATE MORAL QUESTION: Once the Tonys are returned to their home universes, do the good heroes of this one do battle with the evil powermongers of the alternate dimension to save the good citizens from their tyranny? Or do we leave them to solve their own problems instead of disrupting their natural progression?

Hello Everybody,

I was thinking, Loki is a pretty destructive and resilient character and there are a lot of amazing characters here to be playing with :)

I was wondering if anyone fancied a good old plotting session? So I thought i'd post this and if you'd like to play with Loki we can chat and work something out :D I'm pretty much gamr for anything my dears.

Loki would love to cause mischief in anyway possible, so villain or good guy I look forward to causing some considerable distress and frustration~

First, thank you Dezi for your post. I lol'ed when she shot the dude between the eyes. Which is probably terrible of me. ANYWHO. This first week the virus is in it's early days. It's, as Devon put it to me, like the bird flu. Everyone's freaking out and it's all over the news but you don't know anyone who's infected and it's just like "another sickness scare, whatever." Which isn't to say you can't encounter someone infected, just that this is probably how the general populace and the government is handling it. The government is taking preventative actions but aren't calling it an "epidemic" yet because they're sure it can be handled quickly. In the middle of next week there'll be another news post about it where the governments all "OMFG STAY INSIDE WE'RE GOING TO DIIIIE" but maybe less panicky, who knows. So anyway, yes, this week is sort of about discovering it.

On another note if anyone wants a character to become a zombie at anytime during this, go for it. I forgot to mention that earlier. But it shouldn't be a problem since there'll be a cure so if you don't want to play someone in this they can get zombified, lol.

The flood, right? It'll be a bit delayed. Let's talk about it some more, guys.

We have a general idea of who will be where doing what.

These are the facts we know so far:

The hurricane/huge tidal waves caused by Namor's mutant powers will hit all of New York City but Manhattan will be hit the hardest and there will be several thousand people killed. The storm is fast rising and dissipates in twelve hours, presumably leaving a lot of devastation in its wake. Namor will be underwater doing all this dickish stuff and probably not available for confrontation.

There will not be Atlanteans or sharks to fight. Unless you're Misty who punches sharks in bikinis regularly (she's in a bikini, not the sharks).

Have I forgotten any important details?

Okay so, all that said, let's decide now the extent of destruction so we know what state we'll find the city in the day after the flood so that we'll be able to move forward with other threads while we're still tagging the flood.

Ok. This is near the end of the month. That means something. So right here, in the OOC section it's time for another PLOT POST. Yeah! That's right. So.. come inside and let's get started! It will be awesome.

This isn't a Christmas post, either way, unless you want it to be. I know a few people are still on hiatus and stuff but I thought it was about time for another plot post because it's been a bit echoy around here again. But the Nightmares event was pretty all right, huh? Anyone else have thoughts, feelings, senses, visceral emotional reactions? Anything not go the way you thought it would, anything you would improve on, anything you think went spectacularly? And to anyone that didn't get involved, was it just a personal thing or was there something that could have changed?
Feedback will always make the next event better for everyone, and is super helpful because only our characters have telepathy. So open your hearts and express yourselves, especially if you hated it. No one wants to perpetuate that.

It's almost that time of year again which means a random Halloween event. Just to recap we discussed nightmares. Either everyone's nightmares becoming real and terrorizing New York.
