Why'd you have to wait-
Characters : Wanda, Pietro Setting : Antananarivo, Madagascar, evening around 9pm Content : No idea yet Summary : Wanda risks proximity to her father to see her brother
The wait was excruciating, and it had been a rather long wait. Wanda had left Remy's hotel room last night and took a cab right to La Guardia where she was able to board a plane and, several connecting flights and twenty-one hours later, she was in Antananarivo Madagascar. She'd called ahead during one of her airport stops to a mutual friend of she and Pietro's on Genosha who she trusted to deliver the message that she would meet Pietro in Antananarivo. It was as close as she dared go to her father's island. Fury would probably murder her for this, or at the very least suspend her pay. Still, she didn't care, she had to see her brother. Knowing what Magnus' was capable of, what he'd done to Pietro before, it was worth the risk just to know that her twin was still alive.
She sat now where she'd been sitting for over an hour- at the window of her room in the Mercure Palissandra hotel on Rue Andriandahifotsy. It was a rather nice hotel but she had hardly listened to the polite inquiries of the staff as they secured her a room and commented with wonder on her lack of luggage. She'd answered them automatically, tipped without thinking, told them only that she was expecting a visitor and described Pietro to them. Her window had a view of the hotel's entrance and she stared below at the streets that were were bustling with people even though the sun had set hours ago. Wanda's worry increased with every passing minute that Pietro did not appear. She searched among the crowds of tanned dark haired natives and brightly-dressed tourists, hoping to see a flash of Pietro's silvery hair on the street. Meanwhile, she continued to hit ignore on her phone whenever it gave a little indignant chirp to remind her that a rather livid Nick Fury was leaving her messages.
