You're a great friend but if the zombies chase us, I'm tripping you Character:Speed, Jean Setting: New Orleans Content: PG 13 Summary: Seeking to destroy Tony Stark and the Avengers, Speed travels to the Big Easy where he runs into Jean Grey of the X-men
That's it. Cassie could wait if she wanted, but Thomas actually cared about his brother and their shambled team. He wasn't going to just stand around and wait while they hauled his twin off to Stark-jail. No, it was time for action. Magneto wasn't exactly a member of Peace Corps, but he wasn't a monster. Why else would he have helped Tommy out the way he had? The facts only seemed to line up a certain way.
After Zipping away from Cassie, Tommy had popped a passing Shield agent once against the head. When the emerald speedster was sure they were alone, he dragged the unconscious imperial officer into the docks for a bit of privacy. He then began to check his pockets for a key code. That was how it worked in the movies, right? No Key code or Laser pen. What a sucky agent. All Tommy managed to rip from Shieldy was about fifty dollars, half a pack of cigarettes, and some memo about a zombie attack in New Orleans. Hmm. New Orleans. Perhaps his Arch nemesis Iron Man would be there?
That was all it took for the Roadrunner to hitch a trail down south. While running across the country, Tommy found a car on the side of the road once, which Thomas changed in super speed mode. Maybe that would freak the hell out of whoever was driving. It took about a second for Speed to get to Louisiana. Sometimes, but not often.. Tommy impressed even himself.
When he arrived on location, the first thing our Anti-hero noticed was the utter devastation. Wow. He knew the south had fallen on hard times but this was ridiculous. Still, Boy wonder was here on business. He could help people after he had helped himself. After all, Billy was far more important then these cousin marrying truckers.
That was when he spotted something walking his way down the street. At first he thought it was a Zombie but no it couldn't be. I mean, he'd seen a zombie movie in his day and no Zombie was ever that hot. And if it was, well this one was a ZILF. A real ZILF! Speeding up closer, Speed noticed the gal eyeing up the local night club. That was when he spotted the X uniform. Hmm. Not an Avenger, but.. Maybe she knew where he could find them. Well best not be rude. "Come here often, Red?" He said with a grin.
