The kids were sacrificial fodder, Tony couldn't really save them once Cap was upon them, but he was going to have to do something before he was within weapons range. This gal was the perfect amount of threateningly curvy to completely intimidate Old Fashioned, so Tony made a beeline for her, shouting, "Red alert! Battle stations!" to the already confused and completely undisciplined army. The general reaction was to scream with hysterical delight and start running in more erratic circles, total brownian motion across the field. They had honestly lost this battle before it had begun. Tony zipped up behind the woman, grabbing her by the shoulders and not quite ducking behind her, ready to pick her up if he had to. Cap wouldn't tickle a lady. "Don't worry, you're good, he has to keep a respectful three feet from you at all times," Tony assured her. A child, though, crashed into her on its way to hide behind Tony's leg, each of them peaking around either side of their meat shield.
