He'd earned himself another laugh, and Wanda shook her head. "I wish, then at least I'd have got something out of this other than possessed. No, it was an accident, a spell gone wrong." She supposed she didn't need to get into too many specifics about anything, or else it might shut him down. As it was, Tony was still trying to force a kind of real-world logic on the occult that just didn't fit. But at least he was trying to understand, in his own way, and she appreciated the effort.
Make a new one, she smiled at that engineer rationale and shrugged. "It doesn't really work that way," she explained, gently, sure that all this talk of the arcane was just breaking his scientist heart. "I think we're all born with our soul. You've got one in there somewhere, too," she reached over to tap his chest. "Anyway, I'd really rather have my own again. Maybe it affects people differently, or some people not at all, but I hate what not having it was doing to me, even before the demon."
