Living life like I'm in a play
Characters: Regan, Pietro, Maggie
Setting: Mags Manor - Garden
Content: Nature
Summary: Babies need fresh air, I guess.
"Les papillons." Regan sat beside the silver-haired baby, watched her little eyes follow the illusion of butterflies, vividly marked Blue Pansies and large Coppers, fluttering around her. "Hey." All the butterflies then faded into the air, save for one that perched itself on Regan's open palm. She leaned forward, catching little Maggie's attention with her commanding stare. "C'est un papillon," she repeated. "Say it. Un pa-pi-llon." The five month old wiggled in her pillow and gleefully babbled, "Ba!" Lady Mastermind raised her brow and considered the baby's eager attempt, let the butterfly go to pick her up and look her over skeptically. "Hm." This child was far more smiley than Regan cared to deal with and stared back impassively before she sat Maggie back down, and leaned on her hands with her legs stretched and ankles crossed in front of her. The butterflies came back to play-- Regan glanced at the happy little dreamer from the corner of her eye, betrayed by the small quirk of her lips.
"If all else fails, she'll have her looks to fall back on." Reaching for the summer platter between them with her fork, Regan flashed Pietro a facetious grin before she bit into a slice of fresh cucumber. A day out in the garden wasn't Regan's exact idea of a good time--hers involved less children and more alcohol--but she didn't completely hate it. It beat having to spend anymore time with Shaw, who'd been acting a needy little shit the past several days. More than usual, anyway. Powerful men and their delicate egos. Lady Mastermind was glad for the reprieve. "Anyway, sorry I haven't been around lately," she told Pietro. "Haven't had much time for fun."
