It was kind of too late for that; Fury didn't have to think Jasper was weird, he knew it, and long before now. Still, showing up with a goat and a (frankly) ugly ass cat, awkwardly skirting the subject of these having been his vampire food store, was a new level of weirdness. Still, the ugly cat was kinda fucking cute, and when Fury opened the carrier and let it sniff at his hand it made a plaintive little meow. Shit, he'd really wanted a cat. He wouldn't admit it to anybody but a few nights ago after an especially frustrating day he'd tried, and failed, to get one off Craigslist and here was Jasper, always knowing what Fury needed without being told.
"I'll keep-" he paused and gently picked the cat up to feel under its fluffy hind quarters then closed it back in its carrier as he finished, "Him." With that settled, Nick really couldn't control his urges when it came to that goat, though. "I mean-" he began and gestured in confusion, "Where the fuck in the city are you taking that goat? Shit, how did you get it here? Did you rent a truck or...?" This goat really was fucking mystifying.
