"SHUT UP!" Her voice roared through the warehouse, startling the noisy pigeons into a panic, and then total silence. She glared up at the old metalwork high above her; you would think they'd learned after their dumb friend's mistake. "Stupid..." she mumbled, balling up Bruce's coat on her knees to lay her head on. It had been a few days now since their little date with the military; she didn't know where Bruce had gone, or if the military was still lurking around. Red hadn't fully simmered down from that attack; if she had it her way, she'd still be fighting them, but right now all she had were pigeons to take her anger out on.
She laid there quietly with a crumpled Daily Bugle at her feet that had blown in from outside. Red picked it up and skimmed it for a third or fourth time, not a bad picture, then crumpled it up again and threw it at a bold pigeon that had made its way over. Red scoffed and rose to her feet, walking to a grimy window where a little light shown through, as she stretched her arms over her head. Maybe she should've gone to Bruce's place--at least there would be food. And maybe that was her problem. There was nothing to a pigeon! Red was just hungry.
