Ooooookay, Toto. I guess we're really not in Kansas any more, Teddy thought to himself when he saw the familiar silhouette of the mutant leader known as Magneto, because this wasn't anything like the Magneto he knew. For one thing, he was way too young to be Magnus. With the helmet on, Teddy couldn't even tell if there was any resemblance to the older man he remembered from his world. What he could tell was that this looked like a man in his prime. Damn. This Magneto's hot!
What? He had eyes.
Teddy had stopped the moment he saw Magneto raise his hands, and then he slowly approached when the mutant stopped several feet from him, closing the distance between them, but not by much. When he saw the set and shape of the mouth, and that uncanny blue of the eyes, he had a moment of panic. If this was Magneto, and he was this young... did Billy even exist in this timeline? Had he arrived at the completely wrong place and time? Maybe the spell had finally failed and he'd be stranded here, years before Billy and himself were even born! He took a deep, calming breath before answering. He wasn't exactly best friends with Magneto back home, but he did know enough to realize this wasn't someone you screwed with. He figured a show of force would be the completely wrong opening move here, so he went the opposite route.
"I have no idea where I am, and I barely understand how I got here. I'm a traveler. I'm pretty sure I'm in the wrong universe, but I have no way of controlling where I end up." He finished with a little shrug, as if to say so, here I am. "Any chance you would tell me where I am, or what year this is?" he added with a tiny, hopeful smile.
