My life has been a crusade to save this city.
Characters: Frank and OTA
Setting: Streets of New York
Content: Violence
Summary: The vigilante of justice is on the hunt
The streets of Gotham were never safe, not with so many villains around. The Batman had already handled a few tonight. The Penguin and the Killer Croc had been working together, hiding out in the city zoo. It was a good tric, trying to blend in amongst other animals, but the Batman saw right through their clever ruse .After that he'd tangled with Catwoman, whose nine lives ran out in an alleyway. Outside that alleyway, Mr. Freeze drew his icy breath. He never made it out of that ice cream truck. Scarecrow was up to his old antics. Batman found Dr. Jonathan Crane by accident. He was posing as a dermatologist in an unassuming office building, his name brazenly printed on a plaque outside the front door. Bruce strolled right in and punched that smug bastard in the face.
There were others he still needed to locate, stop their crime sprees. The Joker, Two-Face, the Riddler. He'd hit up all their usual haunts but first he took a short cut through a large park, only to find himself in the lair of Poison Ivy. To others, this might simply be a lovely botanical garden bathed in moonlight, but Bruce Wayne knew better. This was where Ivy was hiding and he was grateful that tonight he had his Bat-torch. He'd smoke her out. When he set the first tree ablaze frantic citizens tried to stop him, but he knew they simply minions under Ivy's spell. He carried on with his fiery cleansing until the whole lair was bright with flames. His work here finished, he left the park and returned to the streets, shouting in a gruff voice as he went, "One day you'll all thank me!"
The Batman had a lot of questions tonight. With so much villainy on the streets of Gotham, why had the bat signal not gone up? Why hadn't he been able to reach Commissioner Gordon? Where the fuck was Robin? The night was still young and Batman had a lot more of the city to canvass. He knew there was only one hero that could save Gotham and that was the Dark Knight.
