"Good eye," Billie acknowledged, canting her head with some suspicion. She was going to have to be more careful than she thought around these kids-- maybe that was her first mistake. They might have looked like teenagers, but they could be clever when they didn't think anyone was watching. "I should be an assistant lecturer, but I transferred from Georgia Tech and they bumped me down for a year. Payed positions aren't really in the budget right now." Hopefully, a reasonably awkward twist of her mouth would put an end to that conversation; some people were overly forthcoming about what happened and where they ended up after the plague, but most understood that it was hard to talk about. How someone coped was up to them, and a lot of people moved after they lost everything, that wasn't unexpected. "What do you think of the class?" Billie pressed instead, brightening immediately with anticipation. "I won't be crushed if you're freaked, be honest."
