Don't your beer runs turn into an act of civil disobedience? Characters:Wicked OTA who like beer and mutants, or hates them! Setting:District X Friday Evening Content:Being loud and opinionated! Summary:Seriously who keeps giving her a megaphone?
Friday evening and she was chained to a building in District X. Yeah that sounded about right. How else would a normal trip to a bar end? For once she wasn’t out purposefully looking for trouble. Being in DC for a week was a reminder that nothing good ever happened to her in DC! That’s why she ran away the first time. When she finally made it home all she wanted to do was sleep for a week but Wanda’s advice was in the back of her brain. It wasn’t good to morn someone she never met. But being jobless didn’t really help to keep her mind off of it. She was still depressed, rather she wanted to admit it or not, and lately her routine involved hanging upside down on the couch all day eating Funyuns (a food habit that she blamed Druid’s D&D night for) and watching Day Time talk shows.
“Oh my god he is not the father!”
Just as the host was coming to the thrilling conclusion of rather or not the kid who was clearly older than the relationship between the mom and non-dad, Wicked realized she had been watching TV since nine. Maybe she needed to get out. The bar sounded like a great idea. She’d go from being a shut in in her apartment to being a shut in where there was beer! Unfortunately the city of New York was against her. When she arrived there was a standoff between the bars regulars chained together outside the bar and a bunch of bulldozers. She could have moved on to another bar, or gone back home and watched more trash TV with a bottle of wine. But it was a matter of principle! It was the only bar in District X that was still staying afloat, and they wanted to pave over it to set up, what, another pawn shop?
“These people have a right to be angry!” She said into her mega phone. “By paving over ‘problem’ areas you only cover up the problem. We will not let you destroy one of the few remaining businesses in this district!”
Also where else was she going to go for two dollar pint Tuesday?
