Wait, they were not done talking about the shit that already went down. Bobbi gestured insistently at the Director's computer, because that was still an issue that definitely wasn't resolved because the old guys said so-- to hell with them, Fury could run his own mission, take out a known, prolific terrorist and get the glory while they squirmed and had to accept he knew what he was doing. There was no way they would try to denounce him on the grounds of 'he didn't do what we said and now the world is better', as though it wouldn't be completely obvious that they were on the terrorist's side the whole time. That guy kidnapped her and assaulted a child, that should have been enough to arrest him on Bobbi's word alone.
So that made the Director's inquiry all too easy to answer. "My own two feet," she said, flicking another disgusted hand at the computer then planting her fist on her hip, "I'm not here for politics." And maybe it wasn't all Magneto that deserved to face justice, and staying under the command of a bunch of dried up motherfuckers who were a little too lenient on him wasn't in her best interest. Someone had to do the investigating, after all.
