Well, that was one way of putting it, with a certain dramatic flair that wouldn't have been in Bobbi's realm of survival tactics. She had to be glad it was him and not her, though, because she didn't see a completely respectful way of pointing out that Magneto was a fucking idiot if his way of solving the 'no specimens' problem was to continue to have no specimens. That was bad science. Through Hammer's tirade, though, it dawned on her that the reason he was there at all might have been to be the specimen. She had considered it enough times these long weeks.
It took her a beat to realize what was happening, not until Hammer made a move of surprise before Bobbi noticed the constriction and reached out herself as though she could pull it loose. Her fingers only dug into his bulging neck, still pressing when one hand flashed out to catch the USB. "Oh, you have those?" she still managed to mock, back bleeding and nails cutting into Hammer's skin. Okay, they got it, they were co-operating, what choice did they have? They could pretend to be able to do their work as long as it took Coulson to realize they were gone, talk to Jack, and send a team to recover them. As long as they still had the means. If that didn't pan out, well, Bobbi could throw a mean punch and was willing to find out how far she could swim.
