“We’re rescuing you,” was the brief and obvious answer she gave Pietro and shot him a disapproving look because if he hadn’t run off they wouldn’t have had to rescue him. Her displeasure came only after her relief that he was still in one piece, though. She’d imagined all sorts of terrible things their father might have done and she was just glad he hadn’t done them. Now he appeared exhausted but that was a far better alternative to incapacitated. The rescue might actually be a success.
“Just- one- second,” Wanda hissed back at Clint when he reached their side, annoyed. As if she didn’t know they needed to get out. She wasn’t just wasting time up here, there was still the cell’s technological defenses to contend with while Clint was dealing with the live defenses. Wanda returned to focusing her energies on the the panel beside the cell. She didn’t want to explode it so she decided to try and melt it, pressing her fingers against it as the metal crackled and then oozed, sparking as it died and the energy barrier over the cell door died with it. There, Pietro was free. Wanda offered a glowing hand to her brother as she reached back with the other and grabbed Mr. Impatience roughly by the collar of his costume. If he wanted to be whiny then she didn’t have to be nice.
