As they made their way past the sweeping beach view, across the tropic trees and off towards the manor Clint kept his eyes firmly on as the lookout. Distractions like the scenery were not going to get his friend free. No, only a keen eye and a steady hand would do that. Luckily the staff on Super villian island seemed strangely lacking. Perhaps the psycho had finally lost it and started killing his own kind. Whatever the case Hawkeye took advantage of it. Quietly the two made their way into the house of M ever onwards. Once inside, though Clint broke ranks. He went for his pack again and withdrew a handful of small timed explosives. He grinned openly at Wanda and spared her a wink as he set to work planting the C4 along the support structures of the manor. Even if the master of magnetism was home, there was still a surprise or two this ordinary man could throw at him. All it took was a little preparation and patience.
With his side quest finished, Clint returned to Maximoff’s side. And off the two went for the study. This was it, the fight of their lives. The danger was never more real then at that moment. The instant before she looked into to the study. Barton gave a silent nod and strung a plastic arrow just in case. After all they may only get one chance at this. Except apparently..no one was home? Clint frowned at Wanda’s whisper and leaned forward to peer into the room. It was empty and he was dumbstruck.
Quietly, ever so quietly Clint went for the door tiptoed inside. He took a closer look about before turning and nodding for Wanda to enter. “You’re right. Not home.” That changed things a bit. They were hardly out of the clear, but at least now they had a running in this suicide mission. For his part immediately Clint went for the files at the desk and started shoving them into pack. This stuff was secret intelligence. Who knew what that bastard had his hands in. When that was finished he crossed the room and scooped up the helmet of Magneto. He twirled it around his fingers and showered her with a cheeky smile. “Let’s go get Pietro.”
