Whoa, this thing was worth up to five million dollars?! Pete shuddered at the thought of breaking it. Not that it really mattered anymore. With the population gone, was there even a national currency anymore? Hmm. He gave Tony's question a smile and turned his neck back and forth to pop out the knots. "Sure. I'm ready for an adventure. What do we have?" It was probably going to be something gruesome or gross. Like wading through a horde of zombies. Or crawling around the sewer. Not that the sewer thing was very new to him. A ton of villains found sewers to be great hideouts.
Kind of made him almost miss the good old days. Knocking around creeps with bright costumes and a sackful of cash. "We could try to track down Mystique. I could sure use the payback." He re-imagined briefly the feeling of being thrown across Manhattan by Magneto. It was probably one of his more embarrassing moments in crime fighting. This next time they could try to even whip something up from the lab. Like an anti-Magneto ray. That would show 'em.
