"Oh, okay, see I was wondering the reason myself, so I'm glad we cleared that up," he said with mock seriousness and then smiled again. He only glanced up at Anthony for a second- this wasn't any new kind of behavior. The kid was still young enough that his concept of ownership encompassed every thing on earth so they weren't going to get the flower back from him until he got bored with it. Happy was mostly just glad his son hadn't quite been touched by the horror outside the safety of this giant glass cage. Maybe he was too young to understand but his parents had been trying their best not to get too upset around him for fear that the fear would be catching. Anthony could understand how to be afraid, even if he didn't understand why. Happy didn't want that for him.
Leaning over, he pressed a kiss to Pepper's lips and then reached over to hand her the plate. Something was missing. "I forgot to bring you something to drink," he frowned. "I think our options at the moment are water or something powdered. Lady's choice."
